Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to show conservatives how to fight back against the left.
That’s why the corporate media constantly lies about DeSantis.
And Ron DeSantis scored this major victory that will have Democrats breaking out in a sweat.
During a speech at the Moms for Liberty Summit on July 15 PayPal froze the group’s account during Governor DeSantis’ speech to the group.
Tina Descovich co-founded the group in 2021 to fight back against the woke lunatics brainwashing kids with critical race theory and grooming them into transgenderism.
Descovich recounted how PayPal tried to destroy her group by cutting off their access to receive donations.
“While he’s [DeSantis] speaking, I started getting emails during that PayPal has stopped processing one by one all of our monthly donors,” Descovich stated.
Descovich added that she reached out to PayPal but the woke tech giant said their decision was final.
“I emailed,” Descovich continued. “I tried calling again and get another person and they said sorry, there’s nothing you can do.”
Just weeks later PayPal reversed course on a dime.
PayPal restored Moms for Liberty’s account after Governor DeSantis announced in a press conference that in the 2023 legislative session he would support a bill banning financial institutions from discriminating against Floridians based on their political views.
The proposed bill would:
Prohibit big banks, credit card companies, and money transmitters from discriminating against customers for their religious, political, or social beliefs.
DeSantis compared woke financial platforms like PayPal imposing a Communist Chinese style social credit system to cut off anyone who opposes the Democrat Party from participating in society.
“They’re using things like social credit scores to be able to marginalize people that they don’t like,” DeSantis declared.
DeSantis explained that no one elected woke CEOs and tech oligarchs to rule America.
“Do we want our society to be governed by some of the most economically elite and powerful interests in society?” DeSantis added. “And I think our economy is going to be much better off if everything is not politicized. It used to be it wasn’t a political issue. You didn’t have to take positions on every little thing.”
Descovich later told reporters that she believed the only reason PayPal backed down was because Ron DeSantis made it clear his administration would take action to fight politically motivated discrimination.
“I do think it helps. I have no other explanation why I have no messages from PayPal that they reversed anything. I have not sent them any more documents to change the status,” Descovich stated. “So the only thing I have to point to is that they saw the governor’s press conference and decided to change their minds.”
As CEOs turned woke, Democrats realized they could bypass constitutional protections for free speech and freedom of assembly by having private corporations censor and deplatform conservatives.
But Ron DeSantis said enough is enough.
And DeSantis just notched another victory.
