Congressman Adam Schiff was one of the worst purveyors of the Russiagate hoax.
Schiff lied repeatedly during and after the investigation.
Now Schiff was left speechless after one question.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has proven himself to be the worst type of McCarthyite.
Throughout the entire Russiagate investigation, Schiff said he had seen definitive proof of collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s campaign.
But it was all a lie.
Schiff had seen no proof because there was no proof, which is what Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded.
Now John Durham is digging into the origins of the Russiagate hoax, and a few indictments have the collusion collaborators running scared.
Schiff appeared on “The View” for a softball interview, but he was blindsided by a tough line of questioning from former Trump official Morgan Ortagus.
She asked Schiff:
“You defended, promoted and even read into the Congressional Record the Steele dossier…We know last week the main source of the dossier was indicted by the FBI for lying about most of the key claims in that dossier. Do you have any reflections on your role in promoting this to the American people?”
Schiff had no good answer and shifted blame to the liars behind the Steele dossier.
The Steele dossier was viewed with skepticism from the start, but it was laundered through the corporate press ecosystem—going through smaller outlets before being adopted by legacy media—and presented as fact for years.
Schiff and other prominent Democrats used the Steele dossier as a pretext to spy on the Trump campaign and accuse Trump of Russian collusion.
If Schiff and other Democrats were behaving responsibly, they would’ve vetted the document before using it to orchestrate a coup.
Now that Durham is following the breadcrumbs of the Russiagate investigation, Schiff and other prominent Democrats are noticeably silent.
From Fox News:
“Democrats who probed Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections and touted the Steele dossier are now quiet following the indictment of Igor Danchenko, the primary sub-source of the dossier’s contents, for making false statements to the FBI. Fox News sought comment on Danchenko’s indictment from seven Democratic members who sat on the House Intelligence Committee during its Russia probe and promoted or defended the dossier, including Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, Joaquin Castro, Mike Quigley, Jackie Speier, André Carson and Jim Himes. None of their offices responded.”
Swalwell went so far as to call Trump a literal “agent” of the Russian government.
There should be consequences for all of the propagandists who knowingly pushed the bogus Russiagate story.
Schiff didn’t stop lying with Russiagate.
When the bombshell report of Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” broke right before the 2020 election, Schiff went on television and said that he received intelligence that the laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe publicly rebuked Schiff for lying because there was no such intel report.
