Conservatives have long distrusted Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The right has another reason to be frustrated with McConnell.
Sean Hannity obliterated Mitch McConnell over this massive betrayal.
Mitch McConnell sold out conservatives and boosted Democrats’ chances in the midterm election by selling out to Joe Biden on several key issues.
McConnell championed Joe Biden’s gun grab as well as hundreds of billions of dollars in corporate bailouts which permitted Democrats to then ram a massive tax-and-socialist spending bill through Congress.
Now that the winds in the race for the U.S. Senate shifted McConnell is looking to deflect blame for his blunders to Donald Trump.
In talking to reporters McConnell preemptively conceded the election and fed into the liberal media narrative that Donald Trump endorsed a series of bad candidates in key Senate races.
“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different — they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell predicted.
McConnell then told reporters there was a good chance Democrats would grow their majority.
“Right now, we have a 50-50 Senate and a 50-50 country, but I think when all is said and done this fall, we’re likely to have an extremely close Senate, either our side up slightly or their side up slightly,” McConnell added.
Sean Hannity responded to McConnell trashing Republican Senate candidates and blasted McConnell for helping the Democrats win the election.
“Democrats are painting Republican Senate candidates in upcoming elections and midterms as cruel and out of touch. Well, apparently Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is content to leave them out to dry and fend for themselves. Listen to these comments, they’re very encouraging,” Hannity began.
Hannity compared McConnell’s sabotage to how Chuck Schumer supports and defends the Democrats running for office.
“You don’t hear [Chuck Schumer] complaining about candidate quality in Pennsylvania,” Hannity said, before he asked, “How about you get out there, Mitch, and fight for your team? What’s your agenda, Mitch, or would you rather just sit by and watch helplessly as Democrats lie to your face, pass another $500 billion green energy boondoggle?” Hannity added.
Hannity then declared that the Republicans must dump McConnell as their leader in the Senate.
“His time as a leader needs to come to an end,” Hannity told viewers.
The corporate media spent the last several weeks relentlessly promoting two narratives – that Joe Biden staged a comeback and that Donald Trump endorsed unelectable conservatives costing the GOP Senate races.
No one in America did more to amplify those narratives than Mitch McConnell.
McConnell’s sellouts on guns, spending, and socialism in America handed Joe Biden a series of legislative wins that boosted his approval ratings and made him look like a successful president.
And now McConnell is helping Democrats smear Republican candidates as unelectable extremists by parroting the media’s talking points about the quality of their candidacies.
