Democrats used a second woman to ramp up their attacks on Brett Kavanaugh.
Their first attempt at using a woman to smear Kavanaugh failed.
So a second woman stepped forward and accused Kavanaugh of the unthinkable.
A Second Woman Accuses Kavanaugh of Abuse
Deborah Ramirez told New Yorker reporters, Ronan Farrow, and Jane Mayer, that Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party when they were at Yale.
But as readers dug into the story, critics claimed the report actually showed that Ramirez was likely lying for political reasons.
Ramirez claimed she only came forward after “carefully assessing” her memories for six days.
She also admitted to being drunk during the incident and not remembering all the details.
A woman who said she was best friends with Ramirez in college told the New Yorker that Ramirez never told her about this event when it happened.
She said “This is a woman I was best friends with. We shared intimate details of our lives. And I was never told this story by her, or by anyone else. It never came up. I didn’t see it; I never heard of it happening.”
Her accusations also look political.
Ramirez is a registered Democrat.
She told the New Yorker she came forward because Kavanaugh could be the deciding vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“What does it mean, that this person has a role in defining women’s rights in our future?” she said.
Kavanaugh also fired back denying the charges.
He wrote “This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple. I look forward to testifying on Thursday about the truth, and defending my good name—and the reputation for character and integrity I have spent a lifetime building—against these last-minute allegations.”
White House Defends Kavanaugh
Trump stood by his pick.
The White House put out a statement attacking the Democrats for using false charges to smear Kavanaugh.
White House spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said “This 35-year-old, uncorroborated claim is the latest in a coordinated smear campaign by the Democrats designed to tear down a good man. This claim is denied by all who were said to be present and is wholly inconsistent with what many women and men who knew Judge Kavanaugh at the time in college say. The White House stands firmly behind Judge Kavanaugh.”
Establishment Republicans Stab Trump in the Back
Establishment Republicans allowed this to happen.
Senator Chuck Grassley fell for the Democrats’ delay tactics.
He let Christine Ford miss five deadlines to respond to an offer to testify.
Grassley folded because anti-Trump RINOs Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, Susan Collins, and Lisa Murkowski waffled on if they supported Kavanaugh.
That gave the Democrats time to drop a story Trump supporters believe is a lie.
Ford’s story fell apart.
Every witness she claimed was at the party went on the record either denying it happened or saying they did not recall being there.
So now the Democrats are trying to kill Kavanaugh’s nomination under the weight of multiple false allegations.
They know the media will report unproven smears as fact.
