Democrats are working hard to block Trump’s SCOTUS nominee.
They are using every dirty trick in the book.
And a smoking gun to bring him down is dropping.
Feinstein’s Smoking Gun
Sen. Dianne Feinstein is one of the loudest voices opposed to Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
His confirmation is bad news for her.
Her agenda flies in the face of the Constitution.
Implementing her agenda is virtually impossible with a Supreme Court that respects the Constitution as written.
So she’s on the front lines fighting.
And she has her hands on a document that could bring down Kavanaugh.
She reveals the documents in a cryptic statement.
But instead of releasing it to the public it is in the hands of federal investigators.
There is heavy speculation it has to do with sexual misconduct allegations from his college days.
The FBI is not investigating, but rather just adding to his file.
It will become public soon and has the possibility to harm him.
But the White House doesn’t seem concerned.
Calling it a last-minute smear, they are dismissing it.
If it is nothing more than a smear, that wouldn’t be surprising.
Democrat Smears Against Kavanaugh
Judge Kavanaugh is very qualified for his position.
Even some on the left are recognizing this.
So instead of hitting him on his merits, Democrats are coming up with smears.
The most outlandish one comes from Sen. Cory Booker.
In a crazy move, Booker is claiming that officials aren’t releasing documents to him.
He is trying to make it sound like Republicans are trying to hide something.
Booker even alluded that Kavanaugh may have shown support for racial profiling in the past.
But it doesn’t take much to disprove Booker’s crazy claims.
The point he is freaking out about most just isn’t true.
First, the documents in question are all being released.
In fact, they are reviewing more documents on Kavanaugh than the last five Supreme Court nominees combined.
And on racial profiling, the documents requested by Booker shows he’s opposed to the practice.
Just after 9/11, Kavanaugh made his disapproval clear.
So it was simply a grandstand claim designed to slow things down.
Democrat Plan to Stop Kavanaugh
Because after all, their entire goal is to delay his confirmation.
They know they can’t stop him.
At least not currently.
If they are to stop him they need to delay his confirmation until after the midterms.
Currently, Republicans have clear majorities.
As long as that is true, Democrats have no leverage.
They can gain that leverage by taking back the Senate.
That’s the house that will vote to confirm Kavanaugh.
But the way things are looking, even a delay won’t be enough.
Republicans have a clear advantage going into the midterms in the Senate.
The key states with Senate elections almost all favor Republicans.
While it is possible Democrats pull off a Senate victory, it is becoming less likely with Trump’s successes.
The midterms are going to be about Trump more than anything else.
