Dr. Fauci never wanted this truth to see the light of day.
But Dr. Fauci got some bad news.
And that’s because someone just leaked the smoking gun that could send Dr. Fauci to prison.
From day one, Dr. Fauci claimed the coronavirus originated in nature and did not escape from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Dr. Fauci also claimed the National Institutes of Health never funded risky gain-of-function research – which makes viruses more transmissible – at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Thanks to one letter from National Institutes of Health official Lawrence Tabak to Kentucky Congressman James Comer, Fauci’s claims appear to be lies.
In the letter, Tabak admitted that the National Institutes of Health – through EcoHealth Alliance – funded studies at the Wuhan Institute of Virology that tested if the spike protein from bat coronaviruses could bond with human receptors.
This is the dictionary definition of gain-of-function research.
National Review reported:
A top NIH official admitted in a Wednesday letter that U.S. taxpayers funded gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses in Wuhan and revealed that EcoHealth Alliance, the U.S. non-profit that funneled NIH money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, was not transparent about the work it was doing.
In the letter to Representative James Comer (R., Ky.), Lawrence A. Tabak of the NIH cites a “limited experiment” that was conducted to test if “spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model.” The laboratory mice infected with the modified bat virus “became sicker” than those infected with the unmodified bat virus.
Fauci recently testified to Congress that the National Institutes of Health “has not ever and does not now fund gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV].”
Rutgers University Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology Richard Ebright posted on social media that this letter proved the National Institutes of Health funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and that Dr. Fauci and National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins lied to Congress “knowingly,” “willfully,” and “brazenly” when they testified otherwise.
Ebright posted on social media:
NIH corrects untruthful assertions by NIH Director Collins and NIAID Director Fauci that NIH had not funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan. NIH states that EcoHealth Alliance violated Terms and Conditions of NIH grant AI110964.
The NIH received the relevant documents in 2018 and reviewed the documents in 2020 and again in 2021. The NIH–specifically, Collins, Fauci, and Tabak–lied to Congress, lied to the press, and lied to the public. Knowingly. Willfully. Brazenly.
This letter does not prove that Dr. Fauci funded the research that created COVID-19.
But what it does show is that Dr. Fauci helped fund the research that allowed the Communist Chinese scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to make COVID-19 easier to transmit and thus helped supercharge the pandemic.
