Joe Biden is claiming he is the President-elect.
Biden declared he has a mandate and is laying out his visions.
And all hell broke loose when a Supreme Court Justice gave Joe Biden this warning.
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito went viral with a speech before the Federalist Society laying out a conservative critique of modern day liberalism.
Alito’s speech came against the backdrop of Joe Biden claiming to be President-elect and promising to implement the most left-wing agenda of any President in American history.
In his remarks, Alito took aim at the left’s war on religious liberty and referenced the Obama-Biden administration waging a years-long court battle to force the nuns at the Little Sisters of the Poor to violate their Catholic faith and obey the Obamacare mandate to provide abortion drugs as part of their healthcare plan.
“You can easily see the point, for many today, religious liberty is not a cherished freedom, it’s often just an excuse for bigotry and it can’t be tolerated, even when there is no evidence that anybody has been harmed. And the cases I just mentioned illustrate the point. As far as I’m aware, not one employee of the Little Sisters has come forward and demanded contraceptives under the Little Sisters’ plan. There was no risk that Ralph’s referral practice would have deprived any woman of the drug she sought…”
Alito also blasted governors around the country – mainly Democrats – that treated religious liberty as an afterthought in shutting down churches.
When Tucker Carlson asked New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy if closing churches violated the Bill of Rights, Murphy declared that it was “above my pay grade.”
Alito said the coronavirus lockdowns and closing of churches “pointed up emerging trends in the assessment of individual rights. This is especially evident with respect to religious liberty. It pains me to say this, but in certain quarters, religious liberty is fast becoming a disfavored right.”
These remarks were an arrow aimed at the heart of the agenda of the Biden administration should it take office.
Even though the Supreme Court ruled in the Little Sisters of the Poor’s favor, Joe Biden pledged during the campaign to reinstate rules requiring religious nonprofit and for-profit employers to violate their religious liberty and provide abortion-inducing drugs.
Biden’s also supported national lockdowns and leading members of his coronavirus task force are already floating a national four to six week national lockdown.
Alito blasted Biden with a one-two punch combo on religious liberty and lockdowns that should warn Biden that if he becomes President, two of the centerpiece items of his agenda are on thin ice with the Supreme Court.
