Joe Biden is desperately trying to avoid responsibility for problems he created.
But his story has dramatically shifted.
Ted Cruz called out Joe Biden’s lies with this statement that’s a blast of truth.
A year ago President Joe Biden signed into law a bill spending almost two trillion in American taxpayer dollars.
Biden tried to quiet fears at the time that this enormous spending would cause inflation.
“I’m sick of this stuff. We have to talk about it because the American people think the reason for inflation is government spending more money. Simply not true. I don’t think we need any lectures from our friends on the other side about fiscal responsibility, for God sake.” Biden said.
Biden thought that he could completely ignore basic economics that have been known for centuries.
Many Democrats hold to Modern Monetary Theory claims that governments can raise funds by just printing more money.
Since January 2020, the United States has printed nearly 80% of all US dollars in existence.
The results have been predictable – runaway inflation that has reached a 40-year high and shows no signs of slowing down.
Instead of acknowledging his monetary mistakes Biden has frantically tried to avoid blame by blaming others.
On Tuesday’s “Mike Gallagher Show,” Sen. Ted Cruz pointed out how the White House’s position on inflation has shifted.
Cruz said, “If you look at the crisis we’re facing, the war in Europe, the war in Ukraine is the direct result of policy mistakes made by Joe Biden. And the inflation that is racking this economy is, likewise, the direct result of policy mistakes made by Joe Biden. Ukraine, Putin invaded, number one, because of Biden’s disastrous withdrawal in Afghanistan, the weakness that showed encouraged every enemy on earth. And number two, specifically, because Biden waived the sanctions on Nord Stream 2, the natural gas pipeline that Putin was building from Russia to Germany.”
He later added, “Now, let’s be clear, Putin is a thug and the reason Putin is advancing is because Biden has been weak and surrendered to Putin. But when it comes to inflation, this White House has been utterly incoherent. For months, they said inflation is not a problem, not a problem at all. Then they said inflation is a high-class problem. … Then they said, so talking point number three was, inflation is good. It shows just how great the economy’s doing. They realized that didn’t work. So, here’s talking point four, inflation’s bad, but we had nothing to do with it. It was all Putin.”
Inflation was bound to be a problem even if Putin hadn’t invaded Ukraine.
Biden is frantically trying to blame international war for problems caused by his own bad monetary policy.
