Joe Biden is pitching himself to the American people as a moderate.
That lie is getting harder to maintain.
And now Ted Cruz sounded an alarm about one little-known fact about Joe Biden.
On the most recent episode of “Verdict,” a podcast hosting Ted Cruz and Michael Knowles from The Daily Wire, Cruz delivered some of his shocking opinions about Biden and the Democrats.
Biden has not been doing well in recent polls.
Voters are becoming less and less on board with his noncommittal attitude and refusal to condemn the violent riots he still claims to support.
But Cruz did not discuss falling numbers or Biden’s inability to take responsibility.
Instead, he discussed the ramifications of the Democrats winning the majority in the Senate with Biden as President.
He explained that most of the Democratic leaders – such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi – have endorsed radical policies that will only introduce further instability to the country.
Stacey Lennox, a writer for the blog PJ Media, explained one of Cruz’s talking points about the Democrats.
She stated:
“One thing they have signaled is a willingness to eliminate the filibuster, which lowers the threshold to pass legislation to a simple majority. Once that is done, giving statehood to the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, packing the court, and amnesty would pass quickly. If Joe Biden wins, legislation related to his stated agenda will pass with no way for Republicans to stop it.”
And this is only one of many problems a Democrat-run Senate would cause.
Cruz continued, saying that if Biden wins, the far-left will completely take over.
There will be no way to fight them.
Cruz explained that the only thing that will slow them down is losing the presidential race.
If they win, they will become a party of radicals led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders’ followers.
Additionally, Cruz notes that there are no moderates in the Democratic Party, only extreme radicals.
He went on to discuss AOC and the danger she poses to the future of politics.
DNC Chairman Tom Perez has called Ocasio-Cortez “the future of the party.”
Cruz disagrees and offers his explanation as to why:
“I said, “Listen, if this is a bad election, if Democrats win and they take the Senate–and that’s a real possibility–Chuck Schumer will be Majority Leader. But as a practical matter, Chuck Schumer has seen all of these Democrats being primaried from the left and losing. And Schumer is up [for re-election] in 2022. And if he becomes Majority Leader, he is going to be utterly terrified of being primaried by AOC. And for all intents and purposes that will make AOC effectively the Senate Majority Leader. Because whatever she demands, he’s going to be so scared of that primary challenge that I think he’d be more than happy to jump to her tune.”
Cruz emphasized the fact that AOC will run the show if the Democrats take the Senate.
He concluded by saying that while most voters and politicians are focused on the presidential race at the moment, it is vitally important to watch the Senate as well.
