Gun-grabbers in the Democrat Party and corporate media seized on a horrible act of madness to renew their push to disarm the American people.
But now the anti-gun forces found out some bad news.
And the liberal media got caught red-handed telling this huge lie about the tragedy in Texas.
When an evil murderer killed 19 innocent children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School many Americans and Republicans pointed to the need to harden schools against potential mass shooters.
Republicans argued that schools needed one point of entry guarded by armed law enforcement and all other doors that only open from the inside.
Many Americans that don’t support gun control believe a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.
The corporate media doesn’t really care about solving the issue of mass shootings.
Journalists see a tragedy and believe the only solution is banning and confiscating firearms.
Washington Post liberal activist Philip Bump spread misinformation about the shooting falsely claiming that an armed security guard confronted the shooter and failed to stop the madman from entering the school.
Bump also claimed the police swiftly arrived on the scene and thus the number of good guys with guns were irrelevant in mass shooting situations.
Again: a lot of this is uncertain. But it does appear that more than 20 people were killed despite a security officer at the scene when the gunman arrived and despite the police being there soon after the killing began.
In other words, there were lots of “good guys with guns” in Uvalde, as the rhetorical line goes. But 19 kids died anyway.
That entire claim is false.
There was no security officer on the scene, the shooter entered the school through an unlocked back door.
Texas Department of Public Safety Regional Director Victor Escalon contradicted the official narrative with his statements to the press.
On Thursday, DPS Regional Director Victor Escalon told reporters that at 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday, after the gunman crashed a pickup truck near the school, he began his attack. The gunman climbed a four-foot-high chain link fence around the school, and fired at the school as he approached. He also fired at two eyewitnesses at a funeral home nearby. By 11:40 a.m., he had approached the west side of the school. He “was not confronted by anybody” outside the school, armed or otherwise.
Escalon added that there was no school resource officer on campus, and that the first report came to police at 11:30 a.m.
In addition, the police stood around outside the school for an hour doing nothing while the gunman massacred children.
Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales who represents the district told CNN:
And then (the shooting) stops, and he barricades himself in. That’s where there’s kind of a lull in the action.
All of it, I understand, lasted about an hour, but this is where there’s kind of a 30-minute lull. They feel as if they’ve got him barricaded in. The rest of the students in the school are now leaving.
Video also showed parents begging the police to move and stop the shooter.
When law enforcement refused to lift a finger some parents even contemplated storming the school themselves.

Police even pepper-sprayed parents and slapped one mother in handcuffs for trying to enter the school.
When they finally relented and freed the woman she raced into the school and saved her child’s life.
The media’s false claims about the school having an armed security officer on the premise who failed to stop the shooter was designed to weave a storyline about the shooting which boxed out any explanations on how to stop mass shootings that did not involve mass gun bans and red flag confiscation orders that are nothing more than the first step to full-on seizure of firearms.
