Even Democrats are terrified about the amount of power Joe Biden has.
They’re trying to make large changes to America’s military structure.
This Democrat request is a huge smoking gun about Joe Biden’s mental state.
President Joe Biden has always been known for making mistakes.
“I am a gaffe machine,” Biden admitted in 2018.
However, Biden’s constant verbal stumbles appear to be more than just normal gaffes.
Many Americans were concerned during the presidential campaign that Biden had lost some of his cognitive function skills.
Since he has taken on the task of president, Biden’s media appearances have been extremely limited with good reason.
In a speech to the European public in late February, Biden was accused of accidentally using the N-word.
Biden said during the speech “Look, the range of challenges Europe and the United States must take on together is broad and complex. I am eager to hear, n– hear, next from my good friends and outstanding leaders such as Merkel about her thoughts and the way forward.”
Snopes, eager to explain away Biden’s mistake, claimed what really happened was that Biden said the phrase “I’m eager to hear” three times and that the “I’m” blended with “eager” to make a “mnnm-eager” sound.
Even according to Snopes putting their best spin on the incident, Biden repeated a phrase that was perfectly annunciated twice more in such a garbled manner that it was incomprehensible.
With mistakes like this on record, it’s perfectly apparent why a group of Democrats are asking Biden to give up the sole authority to launch nuclear weapons.
In a letter penned by Rep. Jimmy Panetta of California, Democrats want to change the structure so that no single person can launch the weapons.
“Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks,” the letter says, as reported by Politico. “Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment.”
The letter suggests requiring the approval from the vice president and the House speaker. The alleged reason for this change is because neither “can be removed by the president if they disagree to concur with a launch order.”
Currently in America, the president is the single authority with the power to launch U.S. nuclear weapons, which was decided during the Cold War to allow the U.S. to launch a nuclear weapon quickly.
“While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter adds. “The military is obligated to carry out the order if they assess it is legal under the laws of war. Under the current posture of U.S. nuclear forces, that attack would happen in minutes.”
