For nearly a year, former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has found herself in a massive scandal.
It all relates around her former IT administrator’s mishandling of congressional data.
And President Donald Trump just destroyed Schultz with one tweet that could take her down.
For the past year, former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her IT administrator Imran Awan has been at the center of a massive data scandal. It all began when a Marine Corps Veteran rented a house from Awan and became suspicious when he found wireless routers, hard drives, and laptops that someone appeared to have attempted to destroy.
Because it appeared to be government equipment, the veteran reported it to the police, who seized the equipment along with FBI agents and Capitol Police.
What followed was an insane amount of uncovered corruption, the likes of which may have never been seen before in the House of Representatives.
The most prominent information uncovered was a server that was identified as prime evidence in a 2016 cyber security case. Once it was identified, it went missing, and the FBI took the disappearance as evidence tampering.
During this time period, Imran Awan was caught and arrested at the airport as he was trying to liquidate his assets. Awan and his wife had already wired $300,000 to Pakistan at this point.
This specifically opens up many questions into what was going on with Imran Awan, who has connections to foreign entities. A former business partner of Awan’s father had even stated that his father had passed a USB device to a Pakistani official, telling him that the USB device has the power to “change the U.S. President.”
That information became extremely relevant in the investigation into possible evidence tampering, and cybersecurity crimes that were ongoing. But despite the serious crimes likely involved, the Department of Justice has chosen to consider a plea deal with Awan which would convict him of only minor charges.
This is when President Donald Trump got involved, taking to Twitter to make his opinion on the matter known.
Our Justice Department must not let Awan & Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook. The Democrat I.T. scandal is a key to much of the corruption we see today. They want to make a “plea deal” to hide what is on their Server. Where is Server? Really bad!

President Trump made it clear that the Justice Department must not let Awan and Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook, and that they should fully uncover what is on the server in question.
Awan is not some miniscule figure. Along with his family, Awan has worked as an IT administrator for 1/5th of the Democrats in Congress. That work gave him a massive amount of access to data, much of it being classified.
Luke Rosiak of the Daily Caller has spent the past year tracking this case and has pulled together a damning amount of evidence against Awan and his colleagues.
It took many months of information indicting Awan for Wasserman Schultz to finally fire Awan, which she did so in March of 2017.
But despite his March 2017 firing, he wasn’t removed from the House computer network until February 2, 2017, which was days after Donald Trump’s inauguration. He also hid a laptop with a login for Wasserman Schultz in a House phone booth after being banned from the network.
A plea deal for a lower crime would be a major injustice in a situation that likely has major crimes involved.
