Barack Obama was surprised with some bad news.
It involved one of his most trusted aides.
And this top Obama ally provided the smoking gun for a crime that no one could believe.
The world was shocked to learn that the architect of Iran’s nuclear weapons program, Dr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was killed in an ambush while traveling in Northern Iran.
Many intelligence services suspected Israel seized the opportunity to cripple the murderous Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program.
The New York Times exclusively reported:
Iran’s top nuclear scientist, who American and Israeli intelligence have long charged was behind secret programs to design an atomic warhead, was shot and killed in an ambush on Friday as he was traveling in a vehicle in northern Iran, Iranian state media reported.
The scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, believed to be 59, has been considered the driving force behind Iran’s nuclear weapons program for two decades, and continued to work after the main part of the effort was quietly disbanded in the early 2000s, according to American intelligence assessments and Iranian nuclear documents stolen by Israel.
Barack Obama’s former CIA Director John Brennan took the side of the terrorist regime in Tehran and called the killing of a hired gun helping a radical Islamic regime build nuclear weapons a “criminal act” and cautioned Iran not to strike back as Brennan claimed Joe Biden would be President in January and restore the Obama-era policy of appeasement.
“This was a criminal act & highly reckless. It risks lethal retaliation & a new round of regional conflict. Iranian leaders would be wise to wait for the return of responsible American leadership on the global stage & to resist the urge to respond against perceived culprits,” Brennan wrote on social media.
Even liberals were appalled.
Political science professor and CNN contributor Ian Bremmer noted that four nuclear scientists were killed during Obama’s time in office and Brennan never spoke like this.
“While Brennan ran the CIA, 4 civilian Iranian nuclear scientists were assassinated (2010-2012). He never made a public statement like this,” Bremmer wrote.
Investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald pointed out that what Brennan tweeted was the identical message to what Donald Trump’s incoming national security advisor Michael Flynn told the Russian Ambassador in 2016 phone call after the Obama administration imposed sanctions in response to alleged election meddling.
“This, ironically, is *exactly* the message that Flynn gave to Russia during the 2016 transition — hey, guys, don’t get crazy with retaliation: wait until we’re in power shortly and things will be different. Maybe the FBI should investigate Brennan for Logan Act violations?” Greenwald wrote.
The Obama administration and the FBI used that phone call to frame Flynn as a Russian agent and feed the Russian collusion conspiracy theory.
By that standard, Brennan should be investigated for his attempt to reach out to the Iranian government.
