There’s nobody more honest on television than Tucker Carlson.
During the confirmation process of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Sen. Lindsey Graham emerged as a surprising hero to conservatives.
From his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee, he masterfully worked the committee to ensure Kavanaugh got fair treatment.
He was willing to call out the extremist Democrats on the committee who were trying to derail his confirmation over phony allegations of sexual misconduct.
This was surprising, especially considering that Graham at one time was a Never Trump Republican.
So it isn’t surprising that Graham is again turning his back on Trump.
First, he attacked Trump over his decision to follow through on his promise to remove troops from Syria, calling it “the biggest mistake of his presidency.”
And now he is refusing to take action to help Trump against the radical Democrat impeachment effort.
This has caused a massive uproar from Trump supporters, with them rallying behind the tagline #WheresLindsey.
While Graham is willing to talk a big game, he really hasn’t taken any action to help President Trump.
That’s why Tucker Carlson went after him on a recent show with Sen. Rand Paul as a guest.
Carlson first discusses how Graham promised a series of subpoenas of deep state officials while never following through.
“That’s a general promise, but Graham got more specific,” said Carlson. “He said he would find the truth with a series of actions. He would probe whether or not top DOD officials plotted a bureaucratic coup. He said he would subpoena Andrew McCabe as well as Rod Rosenstein if necessary. So far, Graham’s tenure has been defined by total inaction.”
Carlson then mentioned how Graham did the same thing relating to the fake whistleblower scandal relating to Ukraine.
After promising to subpoena relevant officials so they can come in for questioning, he again hasn’t followed through.
Sen. Paul added that he has been pressuring Graham to take real action.
“Not just any senator can do this,” Paul said. “So I can’t call committee hearing and drag these people in. Senator Graham has the power. He is the chairman of a powerful committee, the Judiciary Committee. Yes, I’ve encouraged them publicly and privately to do this.”
While the Democrats in the House are calling in anybody and everybody in their crusade to impeach President Trump, Republican leaders in the Senate aren’t willing to do much of anything.
Even with President Trump in the White House, many Republicans serving in the highest positions in the government are as swampy as they have ever been.
And Sen. Lindsey Graham appears to be no exception, regardless of his short-term bravery during the Kavanaugh hearings.
