Donald Trump’s administration delivered a coronavirus vaccine in record time.
But many Americans have questions.
And now a top Trump ally made this head-turning confession about the coronavirus vaccine.
Few governors in America handled coronavirus better than Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Governor DeSantis opened businesses and rejected mask mandates and lockdowns.
Now that the Trump administration is rolling out the coronavirus vaccine, the public is asking questions about who gets first priority.
Fake news reporters play a game where they attack Republicans like Marco Rubio for getting the vaccine as “jumping the line” and taking limited vaccine doses away from the vulnerable but also attack Republicans like Donald Trump who don’t take the vaccine for setting a bad example.
Governor DeSantis shut down this nonsense by pointing out that he was just 45 years old and not at risk of a bad outcome so he should wait in line while Florida vaccinates the high priority, vulnerable populations first.
“I’m willing to take it, but I am not the priority. They’re the priority,” Governor DeSantis explained.
“I’m under 45, and so the people under 45 are not going to be first in line for this. And so when it’s my turn, I will take it but this is who I want to be vaccinated,” the Governor added.
Governor DeSantis explained this was just common sense.
“I want my parents, our grandparents to be able to get it. Granted, I’m an elected official but whoop de doo,” Governor DeSantis continued. “Let’s focus on where the risk is.”
Governor DeSantis also called out the social justice warriors at the Centers for Disease Control that recommended “equity” in vaccine distribution so essential frontline workers were vaccinated before the elderly regardless of age because there were too many elderly white people and government bureaucrats thought they deserved to die.
“There was a recommendation from the CDC that you [vaccinate] so-called essential workers. What’s essential?” Governor DeSantis asked.
“There’s a lot of people who work really hard that the CDC doesn’t consider essential, but their family considers them essential. I consider them essential,” he continued, noting that Florida officials will not “be putting young people ahead of our elderly population,” Governor DeSantis continued.
“If you have somebody that works for a grocery store or food services that may be 22, they would have priority over someone who is 73,” the Governor concluded.
The fake news media praised Democrat governors like New York’s Andrew Cuomo and California’s Gavin Newsom and savaged DeSantis because he rejected the religious conviction on the left in support of mask mandates and lockdowns.
But Andrew Cuomo single-handedly killed thousands of elderly New Yorkers by mandating nursing homes take in coronavirus patients.
Newsom’s kept California locked down for months and imposed mask mandates in the spring yet the outbreak is raging across California.
Governor DeSantis figured out the sweet spot of protecting the elderly but keeping businesses open and allowing everyone else to carry on with their lives.
