Trey Gowdy helped lead the charge to stop the Deep State conspiracy against Donald Trump.
FBI agent Peter Strzok was at the heart of his plot.
Gowdy reacted to Strzok’s firing by revealing the one truth that could bring down the FBI for good.
The FBI Holds Strzok Accountable
Peter Strzok’s bias against Donald Trump was exposed when Congressional investigators got their hands on anti-Trump text messages the disgraced FBI agent sent.
Strzok referred to the Russian investigation as an “insurance policy” against Trump winning.
The anti-Trump FBI agent also pledged to use his positions as the head of the Russia probe to “stop” Trump.
Strzok’s bias was clear and no rational person believed his hatred for Trump did not affect his work.
After weeks of speculation, the FBI finally announced Strzok was fired.
President Trump and his supporters cheered the news that a Deep State agent had been removed from government.
Strzok’s lawyer Aitan Goelman claimed his client was unfairly fired due to political pressure.
Goelman released a statement which read in part:
“In fact, in his decades of service, Special Agent Strzok has proved himself to be one of the country’s top counterintelligence officers, leading to only one conclusion ― the decision to terminate was taken in response to political pressure, and to punish Special Agent Strzok for political speech protected by the First Amendment, not on a fair and independent examination of the facts. It is a decision that produces only one winner ― those who seek to harm our country and weaken our democracy.”
Gowdy fires back
South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy did not pull any punches when he reacted to the news of Strzok’s firing.
Gowdy appeared on “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Fox News.
“Keep in mind, Peter Strzok received a much fairer process than he was giving to Donald Trump,” Gowdy declared.
Gowdy explained that Strzok had a chance to argue his case and that the current Deputy Director of the FBI – who is a 23-year career employee – made the decision to terminate him.
The South Carolina Republican demolished Goelman’s claim that Strzok was fired for political reasons.
“No, Peter Strzok didn’t need any help at all demonizing himself. He had that fully covered.” Gowdy continued.
Gowdy stated “Of course his lawyer is going to say it was railroad job. His only other option is to say…my client prejudged two major investigations.”
“He made up his mind that Hillary Clinton was innocent…he made up his mind that Donald Trump should be impeached,” Gowdy concluded.
McCallum then pressed Gowdy on the Inspector General report revealing that a number of FBI agents sent anti-Trump texts.
Gowdy responded that he and Chairman Goodlatte requested the names of those individuals but Congress is covering up their names.
This is one of the worst scandals in American history.
But Congressional Republicans have fought to get to bottom of the FBI’s corrupt scheme to rig the 2016 election.
