Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy joined in the chorus of condemnation from the left, right and center towards Biden’s divisive speech about how the Republican Party is a threat to democracy.
Appearing on Fox News Gowdy blasted Biden for a one-sided portrayal of how democracy is under threat in America.
Gowdy noted that plenty of Americans believe George Soros-funded prosecutors who refuse to enforce the law threaten democracy.
The former South Carolina congressman also pointed out that Joe Biden’s lawless presidency where Biden knowingly signs illegal executive orders such as a federal eviction moratorium, a national vaccine mandate, and the student loan bailout scheme also threatens democracy.
“I think threats to our democracy abound. And, you know, January 6 is a pretty obvious example. There are plenty of examples on the other side of the aisle. And if you want to be a real leader at a time when this country needs a unifier, then you would point out, I mean, many of us consider progressive prosecutors who can undo a legislative that by themselves to be a threat to democracy. Many of us consider a president to sign or issue executive orders that they know violate the Constitution to be a threat to democracy,” Gowdy stated.
The fake news media and Joe Biden like to falsely claim that Democrats are defenders of democracy.
But a Quinnipiac poll showed that 69 percent of both Democrats and Republicans believe democracy is under threat.
Joe Biden’s speech made it clear that the left believes unless Democrats win every election, win every major Supreme Court case and pass 100 percent of their agenda then democracy is in shambles.
In addition to what Gowdy described as lawless behavior by Biden and left-wing prosecutors, Democrats also want to destroy the foundation of America as a Constitutional Republic.
Democrats agitate for court-packing and eliminating the legislative filibuster to wipe away the last check on their political power and for the ability for the minority party to have any rights in government.
Gowdy also ripped Biden for setting up a false choice in his speech between “good Republicans” and MAGA Republicans with Gowdy explaining that under the terms Biden laid out in his speech the only “good Republican” is a RINO that votes with Democrats 100 percent of the time.
“The other thing that caught my attention is the president’s definition of a good Republican is one that agrees with him. I mean, over half the country doesn’t agree with him on most of his policy. So how can that be the definition of a good Republican that you can work and agree with Joe Biden?” Gowdy concluded.
