The cloud of scandal continues to grow over Joe Biden.
Not even Joe Biden’s claims of being the President-elect can make these troubling questions about his family go away.
And now Trey Gowdy dropped the hammer on Joe Biden about this criminal investigation.
In an interview with sycophant CBS “Late Night” host Stephen Colbert, Joe Biden claimed the criminal investigations into his son Hunter Biden over his foreign business dealings in communist China were partisan “foul play.”
“I have, we have, great confidence in our son,” Biden falsely claimed. “I am not concerned about any accusations being made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is and he’s a grown man, he is the smartest man I know. I mean, from a pure intellectual capacity – and as long as he’s good, we’re good.”
Over on Fox News, former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy dismantled Biden’s abused claim.
“If immediate reports are correct, you’ve got more than one investigation into Biden family members,” Gowdy explained. “So, I don’t think the grand jury is foul play, the United States Attorney’s office is not foul play.”
Gowdy noted that prosecutors and the FBI were investigating Hunter Biden for money laundering, tax evasion and securities fraud.
To former federal prosecutor Trey Gowdy that sounded more like “probable cause.”
“Now, you’re welcome to pick on Republican politicians, but you’ve got two criminal investigations. That ain’t foul play, that’s called probable cause, Joe, that ain’t foul play,” Gowdy added.
Gowdy also tore into the fake news media for not holding power to account by ignoring the story.
“There are three groups, Harris, I think that provide oversight in our culture. You have the executive branch, and there are ongoing criminal investigations. You have a congress, but, you know, the House is not going to do anything. And the Senate will only do something if they [Republicans] win one of the seats in Georgia. And then, of course, you have the media,” Gowdy began.
Gowdy explained why the media is failing to act on behalf of the American people by ignoring questions about this story because they could damage Joe Biden’s political standing.
“Look, I don’t follow the news like you do, Harris, but I haven’t seen that many questions posed to Joe Biden about his son,” Gowdy added. “You know, what he said was he had nothing to do with his son’s business. So, the answer to whether or not that is true is relevant … If he is right, then someone is trafficking in his name without his knowledge, and if he is wrong, then he told us something that is a lie and your credibility is always relevant.”
