Everywhere Americans look they see institutions under assault and domestic terrorists ravaging American cities.
All hell is breaking loose across the country.
But Trey Gowdy had this message for national anthem protesters that stunned Fox News.
The latest target of the Black Lives Matter mob is the national anthem.
Anti-American quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the assault and now the attack on the patriotic pride Americans take in the country is focused on the Star-Spangled Banner.
Yahoo Music Editor-in-Chief Lyndsey Parker claimed national anthem composer Francis Scott Key was ‘problematic,’ so the national anthem must be canceled and replaced with Woody Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land.”
Appearing on Fox News, Trey Gowdy ripped the cancel culture the left-wing mobs are imposing on America in order to impose Marxism.
“What started as a legitimate conversation about inequities in our justice system has now morphed into ‘Let’s just change the entire country and change the entire culture,'” Gowdy declared on Fox News.
Gowdy alluded to the communist message of “This land is your land” and explained that one day, the worm would turn and the replacement for the national anthem would one day face cancelation.
“So, I promise you that song is going to offend someone too, and pretty soon we’re just going to be humming the theme to ‘The Young and The Restless’ or find something that doesn’t offend anyone,” Gowdy exclaimed.
“I mean, the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ hasn’t changed in the 55 years I’ve been on Earth,” Gowdy added. “And up until about 24 hours ago, I never heard anyone offended by it.”
Gowdy wondered if cancel culture would then extend to every four or eight years on the losing side in an election and storm federal buildings and tear down pictures of the current President.
“So, if we’re going through a period in our country where we’re going to look at everything … I mean, think about this, Ed, in every federal building there is a picture of Donald Trump. Okay?” Gowdy said. “Half the country doesn’t like that. And, five years ago, there was a picture of Barack Obama and half the country didn’t like that. So, are we going to go into federal buildings and start taking down pictures we don’t like?” Gowdy continued.
“I mean, where does this stop?” the former South Carolina Congressman asked in conclusion.
Many Americans are asking that question themselves.
Leftists targeting the national anthem shows there is no bottom to these riots and protests.
The protests against Confederate Civil War monuments are now an attack on every institution in America as part of a revolution to overthrow the country’s culture and way of life.
