Dozens of Democrats are gunning for the chance to take on Trump in 2020.
But one by one their campaigns are imploding.
And one of his challengers just ended his campaign with one jaw-dropping lie.
In such a crowded field, every Democrat choosing to take on Trump is finding ways to stand out.
But in doing so, many are getting into trouble for saying stupid things.
And the latest offender is Cory Booker, who recently released his plan to restrict the Second Amendment rights of Americans.
His plan is more extreme than any other Democrat running, being nothing less than an all-out gun grab.
But in announcing his plan, the craziest part of his announcement was a jaw-dropping lie.
In an online post, he claims that there are more regulations on toy guns than there are on real guns.
And he goes on to claim that firearms are completely exempt from regulation by the federal government.
His statement claims:
“Nowadays, there is more regulation over toy guns than real ones. While medicine, children’s toys, and any number of other consumer products are subject to regulation by the federal government, firearms are exempt.”
Maybe that point would be true if the Second Amendment was still followed as it is written, but in reality, there may be no other product in America that faces more regulation than firearms.
The ATF alone has used a guide that is nearly 250 pages long to outline regulations on firearms.
And that is on top of additional state regulations, which vary state to state, and even locally in some areas.
Booker’s claim proves just how little Democrats actually know about guns.
Despite wanting to pass massive gun control, the left truly doesn’t understand anything about the guns they want to regulate, or the laws already on the books.
This is also proven through the words of another 2020 Democrat, Kirsten Gillibrand, who lists banning “bump stocks” on her priorities, despite the fact that gun accessory is already banned.
Along with his insane claim about gun regulations, Booker has been under fire for other anti-Christian comments in response to gun control.
He told CNN that he is “not going to give thoughts and prayers” to victims of gun violence, instead stating that he will restrict law-abiding gun owners in response.
Booker has in the past attacked Christians for giving their “thoughts and prayers” to those victims, stating that their prayers are “bulls***.”
Since making these comments, Booker has been steadily slipping in the polls.
He is currently polling just above 2% in his race for the Democrat Primary.
Despite the liberal media loving every word from him, and CNN doing an entire segment about how great his gun-grabbing plan is, Americans aren’t interested in a Booker presidency.
The fact he makes such insane claims would make it very simple for President Trump to demolish him in an election.
