If there’s one thing President Trump loves, it’s when the Democrat Party gets bad news.
This is especially true when the Democrat getting smacked with the news is Nancy Pelosi.
So Trump was grinning from ear to ear after Nancy Pelosi got smacked with horrible news.
If there’s one thing that far-left Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her “squad” want more than anything, it is to impeach President Donald Trump.
For months they have been screaming for him to be removed from office.
But their biggest obstacle has been more mainstream Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, who understand that impeachment is a fool’s errand.
That didn’t stop Ocasio-Cortez from blasting Democrats over it, with her tweeting out about how it is the biggest national scandal.
“At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior — it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Unsurprisingly, she quickly faced harsh criticism from Democrats claiming that she is making a false equivalence.
Left-wing author James Fallows took to Twitter to respond, calling her statement a “‘false equivalence’ of its own sort,” adding that, “What Trump is doing remains objectively the biggest threat, scandal, and problem.”
Ocasio-Cortez quickly responded to him, tweeting:
“It is one thing for a sitting president to break the law. It’s another to let him. The integrity of our democracy isn’t threatened when a president breaks the law. It‘s threatened when we do nothing about it.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s attack is clearly waged at Pelosi.
As Speaker of the House, there is nobody who has more power when it comes to launching impeachment proceedings.
And she has long refused to throw her support behind the measure, calling it “divisive.”
Because of this, Pelosi and Ocasio-Cortez have become bitter enemies, despite being in the same party.
And for her part, much of the infighting seems to be brought on by Pelosi, who hasn’t been doing anything to quash the feud.
Instead, she has thrown barbs at Ocasio-Cortez, at one point stating that a glass of water could beat her when it comes time for re-election.
And in July, Pelosi directly attacked Ocasio-Cortez due to her opposition to a $4.5 billion emergency border funding bill.
“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following,” Pelosi told the New York Times in July. “They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
Throughout all of this drama, the real winner is President Trump.
The only thing Democrats in Washington control is the House, and Ocasio-Cortez and her far-left pals continue to divide it.
Nancy Pelosi is already having a difficult time getting anything done with President Trump in power.
But now she has to deal with her fellow Democrats working overtime to attack her.
As long as this continues, Trump will have strong prospects going into 2020.
In 2016, far-left Democrats refusing to back Hillary Clinton gave him a massive advantage.
With every day that goes by, it looks as though 2020 will be the same.
