Democrats want nothing more than to throw President Trump in jail.
They continue to accuse him of criminal activity with little to no evidence.
And a smoking gun proving he’s innocent of their biggest accusation just dropped.
Democrats have a lot of heavy accusations waged against President Trump.
While most of them are not criminal, there are a few that are.
Their strongest accusation is that Trump instructed his former lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, Russia.
The reason it is their strongest accusation is that it is coming directly from Cohen, who is Trump’s former lawyer, and has been considered his go-to “fixer.”
His accusation has been confusing since the start, considering that building a hotel in Russia is by no means illegal.
But it is the only thing that Democrats had to claim that Trump is a criminal.
And now their entire argument is done for following the release of congressional testimony from Cohen himself.
Cohen says that it is “plausible” that Trump did not ask him to lie to Congress.
The exchange comes following a question from a Congressional staffer about a conversation between the President and Cohen prior to his testimony that exposes how weak his argument is.
“Mr. Cohen, I just want to be really clear about something you testified to just a couple minutes ago. Describing that Oval Office meeting you had with [Trump lawyer] Jay Sekulow and the President, you said the President said to you, just cooperate. And are you telling this committee that you understood him to be telling you indirectly to lie?” a staffer asked Cohen during his March 6 appearance before the House Intelligence Committee.
Cohen admits that is correct.
That exchange clearly shows that Trump was not asking Cohen to lie.
In fact, Trump was saying the exact opposite, telling him to cooperate.
But Cohen somehow thinks that Trump was speaking in code.
After some more questions, Cohen eventually contends that it is “plausible” that Trump did not tell him to lie.
Any reasonable person listening to his exchange will realize just how insane Cohen’s argument is.
And there is no way that a case against Trump on this issue would go anywhere in court.
There isn’t even enough evidence to bring charges against President Trump.
But the mere accusation is enough for the media to spread lies about Trump to their anti-Trump viewers.
That is how the media operates in the Trump era.
They look for any accusation they can throw at Trump, regardless of proof, and then just stop talking about it once evidence proves the accusation isn’t true.
If an outlet like Fox News were to treat any Democrat the same way, there would be mass outrage.
But in the eyes of the media, President Trump is in a different category than Democrat politicians.
Do you think the media is unfair to President Trump?
