Donald Trump continues to bring in major wins with every day that goes by.
But there is one thing that has had many of his supporters disappointed.
And that will change after Trump dropped the news all of his supporters have been waiting for.
There is no issue more important to supporters of Donald Trump than illegal immigration.
The fact that Trump is willing to talk about the issue frankly is why he is in the White House to begin with.
But since taking office, there hasn’t been nearly as much action taken as his supporters want.
While there has been some progress on the wall, there really hasn’t been much done.
And some of Trump’s biggest border policies have either been removed or prevented from ever going into effect due to Democrat obstruction.
But there is one issue that relates to illegal immigration that Trump has a plan to take action, and it truly is very simple.
Trump has been trying to add a question about citizenship to the 2020 census.
Prior to the 1960’s, the question was on the census with no controversy, which is a way to differentiate legal citizens from non-citizens in households.
But left-wing efforts have had that question stripped from the census for decades.
And President Trump is now working to bring it back, despite intense opposition.
Democrats have good reason to fight the inclusion of a citizenship question.
With the rise of sanctuary cities, there are droves of illegal immigrants living inside Democrat strongholds.
If the citizenship question is in the census, those people will list themselves as such.
And due to the fact that Congressional districts are drawn based on population data in the census, Democrats will benefit from it.
So that’s why they are taking this battle so seriously.
And they seemed to gain a win the other day, with news reports claiming that the census is going to the printers and that the question will not be on it.
But Trump quickly snapped back, making it clear that he isn’t giving up.
“The News Reports about the Department of Commerce dropping its quest to put the Citizenship Question on the Census is incorrect or, to state it differently, FAKE! We are absolutely moving forward, as we must, because of the importance of the answer to this question,” the president wrote on Twitter.
This is huge news for Trump supporters.
While illegal immigrants cannot vote in federal elections, they have for decades been influencing the way districts are drawn.
And because they generally live in Democrat districts, Democrats have been reaping the rewards of this.
That is at least until Trump came along.
He is dead-set on winning this victory at all costs.
If he doesn’t win, it will cause trouble for Republicans, considering how many illegal immigrants are coming in every single year.
