Since Trump’s big win in 2016, Nancy Pelosi hasn’t been doing well.
President Trump continues to make her life a living hell.
And Trump just scored a massive win that left Nancy Pelosi fearing for her career.
Currently, Nancy Pelosi is the leader of the Democrat Party.
But she still has little power.
Despite being the Speaker of the House, she has a very slim majority, and has to deal with the fact that Republicans control the Senate and White House.
So the only hope that she has is that Democrats begin taking back control of Congress.
And the most recent chance to do that was in North Carolina, where the ninth Congressional District was up for grabs.
Democrats and Republicans were going all out in the swing district to prove which party would have the edge going into 2020.
And Republicans clearly won that battle by electing Dan Bishop.
Bishop is a pro-Trump Republican whose campaign was based around promoting Trump’s agenda.
Just before the election, Trump held a rally in North Carolina to support Bishop.
So on Fox and Friends, the newly-elected Bishop praised Trump.
“[Trump] was a tremendous help,” he said. “We really only were competitive in terms of funding for about six weeks. So the president and the vice president stepping in and committing the way they did to this race was tremendous. And a lot of credit goes to the president.”
Along with praising Trump for his help in the election, Bishop makes clear that he will be a strong ally to the President while in office.
“That’s the thing about President Trump. There’s never been a greater fighter in the White House than he is,” he said. “I think that’s what we’ve got to do is demonstrate fight. He’s got a great vision for America with an economy that’s booming, taxes that are lowered, jobs more plentiful, et cetera. And it’s just an attractive picture. And if you stand up and deliver it the people will respond and they did here last night.”
Bishop’s win is bad news for Democrats.
Going into 2020, they are hoping they can motivate Democrats to oppose Trump, and to support their far-left agenda.
But in North Carolina, it is clear that isn’t going to happen.
Bishop based his campaign around President Trump.
If voters weren’t happy with Trump, they wouldn’t have voted for Bishop.
And if voters around the nation agree, Trump will have a strong victory in 2020.
If Trump wins big in 2020, it will mean bad news for Nancy Pelosi.
She is in the last few years of her political career.
And she is leading a House that has virtually zero power.
Even if she is able to pass something out of the House, it has little chance at becoming law, especially if it is a radical left-wing position.
And that will only change if Trump doesn’t win big in 2020.
Are you going to vote to re-elect Trump in 2020?
