Since the start of the migrant caravan, Trump has been fighting back.
He has U.S. Troops on the border and is pushing other policies to stop them.
And you won’t believe the crazy way Trump was just proven right on the caravan.
There are a number of policies Trump is proposing to stop the migrant caravan coming from Central America.
What is perhaps the most controversial of his policies is to end the practice of birthright citizenship.
Birthright citizenship allows anybody born in the United States to immediately gain U.S. citizenship.
It doesn’t matter if their mother is an illegal immigrant.
As long as they are on U.S. soil when they give birth, that person gains citizenship.
Birthright citizenship is written into the 14th Amendment.
And its passage was to allow freed slaves to gain citizenship.
For all practical purposes, it is no longer relevant in modern America.
So Trump is trying to do away with it, with an executive order if possible.
That move is causing the left to lose their minds.
They claim he is acting like a dictator by wanting to change one minor part of the Constitution.
And they also claim that birthright citizenship is not a major issue.
But with the coming caravan that is proven incorrect.
As Trump is working to keep the thousands in the caravan out of the United States, the caravan is working harder than ever to push across.
Just this week, a number of them finally made their way across the border, moving from Tijuana, Mexico, to San Diego in the U.S.
And among those pushing across is a pregnant woman.
She was so pregnant that just a day after pushing across the border, she has given birth to a child in the U.S.
Now that child has full U.S. citizenship, and access to all the welfare programs that come along with that.
His mother never has to fill out any paperwork to try to gain that citizenship; instead, her son is going to be able to stay for good.
And now that she is in the U.S., with her new son, it is unlikely she will have to go back.
She is in California with a new baby.
California is infamous for being a sanctuary state that will not cooperate with border patrol or ICE.
They are even suing President Trump over their right to refuse to follow immigration laws.
And also, now that she’s in the U.S. she is able to help out the Democrat Party.
Most of the areas that illegal immigrants flow to are Democrat strongholds.
And as someone living in the U.S., she is able to give her community a stronger Congressional representation.
Because while she can’t vote, she is able to participate in the census, which counts how many people are in a community, and how many representatives they need.
That’s why President Trump is trying to add a question about citizenship on the census.
Do you support having a citizenship question on the census?
