Donald Trump walked into the lion’s den for a town hall event hosted by CNN.
There is no media outlet in America more dedicated to defeating Donald Trump than CNN.
And one simple truth about Donald Trump and 2020 just humiliated CNN in the worst way ever.
Trump appeared for a town hall event at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire to answer questions from Republican and Republican-leaning independent voters.
Instead, CNN’s left-wing host Kaitlan Collins tried to show off for her colleagues in the corporate media by peppering Trump with irrelevant questions, and incessant and misleading “fact checks” to show she was down with the cause of defeating Trump in 2024.
Collins started off the event by harping on the media’s obsession with the 2020 election which sidetracked Trump from talking about the issues Republican voters actually care about — ending Joe Biden’s dangerous war with Russia, securing the southern border, cracking down on crime, ending the weaponization of the government, and confronting Communist China.
After the event was over CNN correspondent Gary Tuchman held a focus group with some of the attendees.
Tuchman started off by calling Trump a liar and asking the town hall attendees if it bothered them that Trump spent time going over the 2020 election.
“Donald Trump, you have to be blunt about it, is not a truth-teller. That’s the way he’s always been when he was a businessman and when he’s been a politician,” Tuchman began. “He has lied about the 2020 election, stuffed ballot boxes; it’s all made up. He’s lost dozens of court cases.”
“Does it bother you that he keeps talking about 2020 and not 2024?” Tuchman continued. “How do you feel about those lies?”
One of the focus group members shut down Tuchman by pointing out the simple fact that it was CNN that focused on 2020 by starting off the town hall with a question about the last election.
“So, I feel like part of it is also the media narrative, as you guys asked him the first question at the town hall about the 2020 election rather than current stuff,” the audience member stated.
Tuchman tried to recover by saying Trump should be “talking about 2024 and not lies that aren’t true?”
The voter’s response stopped Tuchman cold and forced him to concede the point.
“Couldn’t the media ask him a question about 2024?” the audience member wondered.
“There were questions, but you’re right, that was the first thing,” Tuchman admitted. “But that’s something that was on our mind and that’s why it was asked first.”
