The 2020 race for President is heating up.
Democrats are down to just a handful of serious contenders.
And Trump’s top 2020 challenger was just caught in a campaign-ending lie.
The 2020 race for the Democrat nomination could truly go to virtually any Democrat at this point.
While the two clear front-runners are Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren, there is little excitement.
Usually, at this point in the race, there is at least one candidate truly separating themselves from the pack.
At this point in the 2016 race, that was Donald Trump on the Republican side.
But no candidate is even close to bringing in the excitement that Trump did, and it seems more and more likely that no candidate will ever foster that type of support.
The closest candidate to do that is Elizabeth Warren.
She is bringing in a lot of support due to the fact that she is a woman, along with the fact that she is noticeably to the left of Hillary Clinton.
But the biggest issue for Warren is that she continues to get caught in lies.
First, she was infamously in the spotlight over her claims that she is Native American.
Trump continues to call her “Pocahontas” to mock her for this.
But it isn’t the only lie she is having to answer for.
In recent weeks she has been claiming that she was fired from a teaching job in the 1970s for being pregnant.
It is a claim she uses to promote her left-wing agenda and to paint herself as a victim.
But that claim is coming under fire with her past statements contradicting her statement.
An uncovered interview from 2007 shows Warren contradicting her claim.
While speaking to a student newspaper she states that she stayed home due to her pregnancy, in a statement that makes it seem as though it was her own decision.
“And I went back to graduate school, and took a couple of courses in education, and said, ‘I don’t think this is going to work out for me.’” She added: “And I was pregnant with my first baby, so I had a baby, and I stayed home for a couple of years.”
There is nothing wrong with her decision to stay home and raise her own child.
In fact, many people would see that as a good thing.
But when she is painting herself as a “strong liberal woman,” the idea of staying home to raise a child is not the impression she wants to give about herself.
This isn’t the first lie Warren has been caught in.
Recently, just after announcing a plan to basically outlaw lobbying, she hired a lobbyist to lead her campaign in Florida.
And she was also caught lying about crowd sizes.
Following a recent rally in New York City, her campaign bragged about a massive crowd of 20,000 people.
Her plan was to compete with President Donald Trump, who is bringing in tens of thousands of people at every campaign rally.
But the New York City Parks Department exposed that as a lie, pointing out that the park her event was in could only fit 10,000 people.
This came after Warren previously lied about bringing out 12,000 at an event where the media estimates 4,000 to 6,000.
This history of lies is going to come back to bite her.
