The 2020 Democratic Presidential field is beginning to take shape.
And one top contender jumped in the race.
But they instantly regretted that decision when Tucker Carlson ended their life with this one question.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren announced on New Year’s Eve that she was forming a Presidential Exploratory Committee.
The fake news media immediately elevated her into the top tier of potential Trump challengers.
Far-left activists that make up the Democrat base hold her in high regard and Warren can raise the millions of dollars through online donations that can power a Presidential campaign.
But she also has a secret from her past that could kill her campaign.
And Tucker Carlson brought it up during a recent broadcast.
Recently, Carlson ignited a national debate with a 15-minute monologue about how the elites in America turned the screws on the working class through trade, immigration, and foreign policies that led to the destruction of the American family.
Carlson noted that men’s wages were stagnating and this led to fewer women wanting to marry men with declining economic prospects.
Liberals screamed “sexist” because to them, feminism is a religion that must never be questioned.
But Carlson pointed out that his views were once commonplace on the left.
To prove his point, Carlson cited Elizabeth Warren’s 2003 book “The Two-Income Trap.”
“The central thesis of the book was that mass entry of mothers into the workforce has been a disaster for families and most of all for women,” the Fox News host recounted. “As Warren points out, you’d think families would be much richer with two parents working. That hasn’t happened. Virtually all the income gains have been consumed in an arms race to maintain the status quo.”
In the book, Warren described how two-income households in 2003 made less money than single income families where the male as the primary breadwinner a generation ago.
“Astonishingly, sending mothers to work has made families more vulnerable to financial disaster than ever before,” Warren wrote. “Today’s two-income family earns 75 percent more money than its single-income counterpart of a generation ago, but has 25 percent less discretionary income to cover living costs.”
This led Carlson to ask the question that could break the back of Warren’s political prospects.
Could she survive in today’s Democrat Party if she espoused these views?
Carlson clearly believes the answer is a resounding “no.”
“Elizabeth Warren said that out loud. Nobody seemed to mind. She’d never say that today. It’s not allowed like so much else that is true and important,” Carlson declared. “She can’t talk about the things that she believed 10 years ago. No modern Democrat can.”
Democrats are an anti-family party.
Feminists and liberals sneer at women who put raising their children ahead of “leaning in” to their career and smashing the patriarchy.
Warren’s book –which questions if women can be happy with both a career and motherhood – would be political kryptonite in the 2018 Democrat Party.
Do you agree with Tucker Carlson that these comments would end Elizabeth Warren’s career?
