Fox News host Tucker Carlson gets under liberals’ skin.
They hate the fact he’s both effective and resistant to their shameful attempts to get him fired.
And now Carlson just forced liberals to make one shocking admission.
Among all of the Fox News personalities hated by liberals, primetime host Tucker Carlson might be the most hated.
The reason why is Carlson is effective at hammering the Democrats on their most beneficial election strategy: importing voters.
Carlson is an immigration hawk who agrees with Donald Trump’s immigration position.
The Democrats once believed in border security, but they’ve since abandoned those principles.
Now they want unfettered illegal immigration in order to bolster a reliable Democratic voting bloc.
For that reason, Democrats in Congress proposed the “New Way Forward Act,” which essentially amounts to open borders.
The New Way Forward Act would mean illegal aliens who have been deported over the past 25 years can return to the U.S. to have their cases retried with all legal services provided by the U.S. government.
This is complete madness, and Carlson said as much in an op-ed he penned.
And the liberal fact-checking site Snopes was incensed.
Carlson’s op-ed stated that the Democrat bill would “protect criminals from deportation,” which Snopes rated in veracity as a “mixture.”
However, Carlson got the last laugh when Snopes admitted their mistake and upgraded their rating.
Snopes issued a correction that began:
“This article originally stated that certain provisions in the New Way Forward Act would remove a requirement for some offenses to carry a one-year sentence in order to form the basis of a deportation order, thereby making deportation easier in some cases.”
Snopes was wrong because the new requirement would actually require the offenses to be more severe.
The correction continued, “In fact, the bill would replace the one-year minimum sentence requirement with a five-year minimum sentence requirement, thereby making deportation more difficult in those cases. As a result of this correction, the rating has been changed from ‘Mixture’ to ‘Mostly True.’”
Snopes is notorious for nitpicking conservatives and soft-pedaling statements made by leftists.
Their correction on Carlson’s statement shows that there was no way for them to wriggle out of their mistake and still maintain any shred of credibility as a fact-checking site.
Snopes is the same outlet that fact-checks satirical articles from the right-leaning Babylon Bee site.
On the issue of the New Way Forward Act, raising the requirement for a deportable offense needing to carry a five-year prison sentence is unbelievable.
Democrats are actively trying to bring criminals into the country.
No society in history has fought so hard to bring in criminals in huge numbers.
But the left’s pursuit of power has blinded them to any and all reasoned thinking.
Americans don’t want unfettered illegal immigration, and they certainly don’t want laws in place that actively make it easier for criminals to come and operate in the United States.
