There’s perhaps nobody who can take down the anti-Trump left better than Tucker Carlson.
He has made destroying their arguments into an art form.
And with his latest tirade, he obliterated everyone opposed to Trump’s immigration plan.
President Donald Trump is doing one thing that angers liberals more than anything; enforcing federal immigration law. While some of what he is doing is new in practice, it is not new in policy.
This is what has sent the anti-Trump movement into a frenzy. His directive to separate children from parents who illegally cross the border until they can be reunited with guardians has been likened to Nazi Germany.
If there’s one person who knows exactly how to take down the left in their hysteria, it’s Fox News host Tucker Carlson, and that’s exactly what he did on Monday. In a segment titled “Immigration Crisis,” Carlson wasted no time in dropping truth bombs.
He started off by calling the left’s outrage nothing more than “self-righteous posturing,” just before exposing their hypocrisy, stating:
“So, the same people who support the third term post-viability abortion for purposes of sex selection are now lecturing you about God and sin and the holiness of children. Feel chastened?”
Carlson is pointing out the fact that many on the left, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, have cited their faith in opposition to Trump’s immigration policies.
The fact that Clinton would point to her faith, while openly supporting policies such as sex-selective abortion is hypocrisy at its finest.
But Carlson didn’t stop there, he then went on to point out the fact that the same people concerned about 2,000 children being separated from their families at the border are not worried about the collapse of the American family.
There is perhaps no greater threat to the well-being of children than the collapse of the American family.
With marriage on a steep decline, more children are growing up in single-parent households than ever before.
The left has done nothing but expand this problem, along with supporting increased abortion, which much of the population also considers separating a child from their family.
After calling out the hypocrisy, Carlson dropped what he believes is the cause of the hypocrisy, which is his belief that the ruling class “care far more about foreigners than their own people.”
Carlson’s belief can be easily confirmed by looking at the left’s reaction to policies on illegal immigration compared to policies that help American citizens.
When President Trump passes a tax cut, the political class loses their minds, but when illegal immigrants flood over the border they rejoice.
But in reality, that makes sense. The cost of illegal immigration on U.S. taxpayers is $134.9 billion according to the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
Increased illegal immigration would cost taxpayers even more, and make cutting taxes on U.S. citizens difficult.
Along with the increased tax burden, illegal immigrants are much more likely to commit violent crimes than American citizens, clogging up the American justice and prison systems.
That is what Tucker Carlson is talking about when he stated that the ruling class cares more about foreigners than the American people.
They would much rather feel good about themselves than help everyday Americans.
