There is nothing Joe Biden wants more than to become president.
After living in Obama’s shadow for eight years, he sees 2020 as his time.
But that won’t happen after two women accused him of doing something awful.
There’s nothing that can destroy a career quicker than a #MeToo allegation.
Some of the world’s most powerful figures are now completely shunned from society for the mere allegation of sexual misconduct.
For years, Joe Biden’s treatment of women has been raising red flags.
Countless videos of him uncomfortably close to uncomfortable looking women have come to light.
And now those pictures make more sense, with two separate women describing similar incidents making them feel extremely uncomfortable.
The first allegation comes from Lucy Flores, the 2014 Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor in Nevada.
At an event for her campaign, she describes Biden sneaking up behind her to put his hands on her shoulder before sniffing her hair, and kissing the back of her head.
She describes the moment as embarrassing, shocking, and confusing.
“I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me,” Flores said.
And now another woman is describing a similar situation during a 2014 Democrat fundraiser in Connecticut.
Speaking to the Hartford Courant, Amy Lappos claims that Biden put his hands around her neck before pulling her close to rub noses.
“When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth,” Lappos describes, before calling the situation “sexist.”
A spokesman for Biden denies this occurrence, stating:
“Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes.”
This is horrible news for Biden, who is hoping to defeat President Trump in 2020.
In nearly every poll he is leading the pack of Democrats vying for the nomination.
But if more of these allegations of inappropriate contact drop, his entire campaign will go down in flames.
Already, Democrat careers have been destroyed for allegations of misconduct.
Most famously, former Sen. Al Franken was forced to resign after pictures showing him inappropriately touching a woman in her sleep came to light.
But that isn’t always what happens.
For decades Bill Clinton has been at the center of sexual assault scandals.
Since his time as Governor of Arkansas, women have been accusing him of rape.
The most prominent of these accusers is Juanita Broaddrick, who stands by her claim to this day.
Broaddrick also claims Hillary Clinton had involvement in working to silence her.
But the Clintons still remain a force in the Democrat, with Hillary nearly becoming president in 2016.
Only time will tell if these allegations against Biden will go anywhere.
He truly is one of the most powerful figures in Democrat politics today.
