Robert Mueller and the FBI should be nervous.
Their abuse of power in targeting Donald Trump is coming to an end.
That’s because this whistleblower stepped forward and revealed the smoking gun that will bring them down for good.
George Papadopoulos Testifies to Congress
Former Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos finally testified before Congress.
The FBI claimed an Australian diplomat told them Papadopoulos said a professor informed him Russia had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton led them to open the Russia probe.
Papadopoulos’ testimony cast serious doubt on that story.
North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows attended the interview.
“What we’re finding without talking about specifics of what’s going on is that the whole reason that this investigation was opened up was certainly not one built on a solid foundation,” Meadows said after the interview.
Meadows also believed Papadopoulos’ testimony should lead to professional sanctions against DOJ and FBI officials.
He said the Office of Professional Responsibility should be able “to determine whether proper protocol was followed, and I’m certainly willing to encourage that.”
Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe said Papadopoulos was “…providing as much information as he has,” he continued. “I think he’s trying to understand how a 28-year-old campaign adviser who’d been on the job for less than a month has been embroiled in the highest-profile investigation in recent times.”
Meadows added that Papadopoulos testimony raises troubling questions about the FBI and DOJ’s conduct.
“His testimony here today is certainly unique and eye-opening and very different in terms of what I had come to understand from other interviewers, seeing it from other interviews that we’ve had as it relates to FBI agents and DOJ officials,” Meadows stated. “To see it from his perspective gives me great pause and concern.”
George Papadopoulos was Innocent of Collusion
There is no evidence Papadopoulos actually ever met with a Russian agent.
The Australian media reporter Professor Joseph Mifsud – who told Papadopoulos the Russians had dirt on Hillary – was actually a British agent.
Ratcliffe argued that if you don’t know you are meeting with a Russian then you cannot be guilty of collusion.
“But it’s hard to collude with someone if you don’t know that you’re dealing with someone with the Russian government,” the Texas Congressman declared. “That’s why he was not charged with anything Russia collusion-related or Russian obstruction-related or anything Russia-related.” When the FBI interviewed Papadopoulos in January 2017, he strongly denied colluding with Russia.
Meadows said the whole Russia investigation “was based on a piece of paper that quite frankly is not based on facts.” “So I’m very concerned,” he said. “But the facts that we’re finding in here are astounding that we would allow this type of investigation go to be embarked upon without any real, solid foundation of collusion.”
Many Americans believe the FBI and DOJ wanted to spy on Trump for political reasons.
But they needed a cover story.
So they invented the Russian collusion hoax.
Papadopoulos’ testimony moves that from theory closer to fact.
