Two of the people Democrats hate most are William Barr and Brett Kavanaugh.
Democrats tried and failed to destroy both of them.
And William Barr just told Kavanaugh to do one thing that Democrats will hate.
William Barr is serious about pushing forward President Trump’s agenda.
After over two years of Attorney Generals who were doing nothing to support Trump, Barr is getting to work to make up for the missed time.
And one issue that he has become a vital part of is stopping illegal immigration.
There is no issue more important to President Trump and his supporters than stopping illegal immigration and building a wall on the border.
Every Trump rally features chants of “build the wall” after all.
Barr is supporting Trump in this fight by fighting back against activist judges who rule against Trump’s decisions not for Constitutional reasons, but rather for ideological reasons.
Perhaps the most egregious case of this was a California judge shutting down a simple immigration directive requiring migrants to seek asylum at ports of entry in Mexico, not the United States.
This allows migrants who are serious about claiming asylum to make their claim before a court.
It is common sense, but pro-illegal immigrant judges don’t care and are simply smacking down as many of Trump’s decisions relating to the border as they can.
These are cases that will not be heard before the Supreme Court until 2020 or 2021.
That’s why William Barr is stepping in.
His Justice Department is requesting the Supreme Court overturn this judge’s decision as soon as possible, instead of letting his decision stay in effect for years.
The Justice Department claims that “the [judge’s] injunction is vastly overbroad” in their filing to the Supreme Court.
“The injunction’s circuit-wide sweep — preventing the rule’s 6 application to all aliens in the Ninth Circuit — violates the well-settled rule that injunctive relief must be limited to redressing a plaintiff’s own injuries, and unduly interferes with the Executive’s authority to establish immigration policy. The Court should, at the very least, stay the injunction to the extent that it goes beyond remedying the alleged injury to any specific aliens respondents identify as actual clients in the United States subject to the rule.”
The judge to block Trump’s decision is an Obama-appointed Judge, and he has already begun facing setbacks over his decision.
In the 9th District, his decision was narrowed due to his authority, and it now only applies in California and Arizona.
That means that illegal migrants found in Texas and New Mexico cannot make their claim until they are back at a port of entry.
The left-wing ACLU is expected to challenge the Justice Department, stating that requiring asylum seekers to make their claims from Mexico will cause the “death[s] of countless families.”
Of course, the ACLU lawyer making that claim doesn’t back it with any evidence.
Do you agree with the Justice Department’s decision?
