Democrats are out to get William Barr.
And they’re throwing everything they have at the Attorney General.
But it only took two words for Barr to destroy Nancy Pelosi and leave her in shambles.
Attorney General William Barr is facing an onslaught of Democratic attacks directed at him like no one else before.
Barr has done nothing wrong, except simply exist as President Trump’s Attorney General.
And that alone is enough for Democrats to hate him and want to see him gone.
But there’s a problem for the left.
Barr has been fighting back, and he’s not taking their attacks laying down.
That’s led to some nasty surprises for Nancy Pelosi, and the latest one has left her reeling after Barr destroyed her in just two words.
When Democrats brought forward a motion to hold Barr in contempt of Congress for merely following the law, he unloaded on them.
And now Democrats are left scrambling after Barr blew their entire plot against him to pieces.
The Daily Caller reports, “Attorney General William Barr said the House Judiciary Committee’s vote to hold him in contempt of Congress is part of a “political circus” Friday.”
“It’s part of the usual game, you know, political circus that’s being played out. It doesn’t surprise me,” he said of the decision in an interview with Fox News. “I don’t feel threatened.”
Barr called out Pelosi’s plan to take him down for exactly what it was, a political circus.
Pelosi knows she has no case against Barr.
She even knows that she doesn’t have the votes to impeach him from office.
But she’s still targeting him with this vote to hold him in contempt of Congress in order to attack him the best way she can think of.
But she wasn’t expecting Barr to fight back like this.
And now he’s turning the whole plan upon its head as Pelosi watches her plot against him blow up in her face.
This all blew up because of the Mueller Report, which cleared President Trump of any wrongdoing in the 2016 election which saw him defeat Hillary Clinton in a stunning upset.
Democrats were outraged when Special Counsel Robert Mueller failed to deliver the killing blow to Trump’s career as they hoped.
So they thought if they can’t take down Trump directly, they can at least attack his cabinet officers, with Barr being the most obvious target.
“Democrats had been pushing Barr to release the full, unredacted Mueller report investigating potential Russian collaboration in the 2016 presidential election,” adds the Daily Caller.
“Barr’s comments came after the committee, led by Democratic New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, previously gave Barr a deadline of May 6 by 9 a.m. to turn in the full report with no redactions, which many Republicans said would be dangerous due to the possibly sensitive material that could be leaked. Barr did not budge.”
