For many years, North Korea was seen as the unsolvable issue of the world.
But in the past few weeks, major progress has been made towards peace between North and South Korea.
Following these developments, a surprising world leader just honored Trump in the greatest way possible.
In a majorly publicized event, North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un walked across the border into South Korea, to shake hands with South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
The weeks prior to this event led towards that move.
Following a secret meeting that occurred between Kim Jong Un and United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, major developments have come up.
North Korea has become open to denuclearizing their country, and they have changed their time zone to match that of South Korea.
South Korea has returned these gracious acts by turning off loud-speakers they had placed on the border of the two countries to play propaganda loudly.
Because of these developments, South Korean President Moon believes that President Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.
He believes his efforts to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula is what made the huge developments possible.
Moon credits Trump’s maximum pressure strategy for bringing North Korea to the table for diplomacy talks.
As reported by The Daily Caller:
“South Korean President Moon Jae-in reportedly believes President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula.
“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. What we need is only peace,” Moon told South Korean officials, according to Reuters. The South Korean president has repeatedly credited Trump for changes in North Korea’s behavior in recent months. Trump “deserves big credit for bringing about the inter-Korean talks,” Moon said in January, attributing North Korea’s sudden interest in diplomacy to the president’s maximum pressure strategy.
The president also credits himself for brokering peace between North and South Korea. “We’re doing the world a big favor. We’ll see how it goes. I think we are going to do just fine,” Trump said Saturday night in Washington, Mich. “I had one of the fake news groups this morning, they were saying, ‘What do you think President Trump had to do with it? I’ll tell you what, like how about everything.”
At the rally, the crowd shouted, “Nobel, Nobel, Nobel.”
Moon and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met for the first time Friday at a landmark inter-Korean summit on South Korean soil. The two sides agreed to bring an end to the Korean War and to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula through phased disarmament and complete denuclearization.
Trump is preparing for his own summit with Kim, which is expected to be held in the next few weeks.”
With President Trump preparing for his own meeting with Kim Jong Un, peace could be coming soon.
In the past North Korea could walk all over past presidents, who were afraid to use the tools available to put pressure on the isolated country.
But with President Donald Trump, they know he isn’t playing around, but that he is ultimately interested in peace.
North Korea seems to be taking the easy route, and negotiating diplomatically.
