Elon Musk has become a public enemy second only to Donald Trump in the eyes of the press.
But Musk never imagined it would come to this.
And Elon Musk forced The View co-hosts to make one unthinkable choice.
War Room host Steve Bannon is one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters.
Bannon is also routinely smeared in the media as a white supremacist because he supports a secure border and populist parties in Europe that challenge the leftist status quo.
But to the left, the enemy of your enemy is your friend.
And Steve Bannon is waging a one-man war on Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Out-of-control government spending under Joe Biden was the number-one cause of the inflation crisis.
DOGE wants to slash $2 trillion in spending, which will help stabilize prices.
Steve Bannon is on a tear claiming DOGE wants to gut Medicaid, which Bannon claims Trump voters depend on.
“The View” co-host Sarah Haines revealed she now had a strange new respect for Bannon because he was opposed to Musk.
“I hate to say it, but I agree with Steve Bannon on this one purely because, you know, they’re cutting all these programs,” Haines told viewers.
Haines complained that Musk wanted to run government like a business instead of maintaining a public sector mindset.
“They’re saying they’re going to cut the fat and they have numbers. Before they ever went in, they said, we want to get 1 trillion out of you. That’s a businessman’s approach to a government. This is the public sector, not the private sector,” Haines continued.
But the public sector mindset is what led to $36 trillion in debt and the worst inflation in 40 years.
Haines then praised Bannon by repeating the falsehood that Trump and Elon Musk want to cut taxes for the rich and pay for them by cutting social safety net programs for the poor.
“You don’t come in with numbers and you come in — you learn. You become an expert at what everyone’s doing, what their role is, who’s essential. And then you say it’s realistic to have this goal and then you cut the fat. The thing that Trump’s not doing, though, is he wants to keep some of the tax cuts he had originally said. And what Bannon stands for, which breaks with Elon Musk, is don’t tax over time, don’t tax Social Security, give the money to the people that need it the most,” Haines continued.
Co-host Joy Behar was used to years of liberals smearing Bannon as a Nazi and couldn’t believe her ears.
“Who? Bannon says that? Wow, that sounds like a lefty to me,” Behar wondered.
Haines confirmed it was Bannon and praised Bannon for falsely claiming that DOGE spending cuts were going to hurt all Americans.
“Steve Bannon says it is going to hurt for all of us. We all got into this together. You need to give the breaks to the lower in the middle class. Stop slashing and helping the top. They don’t need more,” Haines stated.
