President Trump doesn’t bluff.
Iran keeps trying to test him.
And now Trump wants Iran not to make this bad move.
As Conservative Reboot reports:
Iranian missile and drone attacks have decreased by over 80 percent since the start of the war.
That’s clear evidence of U.S. air dominance.
Iran can’t fight the U.S. in a conventional battle.
Iran’s only card to play is disrupting the global oil market.
And Iran did that by attacking oil facilities in the Gulf and threatening oil tanker shipments in the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain declared force majeure – meaning they can’t meet oil production contracts – and traffic in the strait ground to a halt.
Oil, which sat at $72 a barrel at the start of the war, surged to $119 per barrel as a result of Iran’s attacks.
Prices plummeted to $90 when Trump announced the war would end soon.
Trump also warned Iran it faced unprecedented “death, fire, and fury” if it attempted to block oil tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump wrote that countries like China, which depend on oil from Iran, recognize that the U.S. protects the global economy.
“This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump concluded.
Iran’s only hope to end the war and avoid destruction was to create such levels of economic pain through rising oil prices that domestic political pressure would force Trump to call off the war.
Trump promised that it wouldn’t be the case by warning Iran to stand down.
President Trump also repeated that America would fight this war until it achieved its strategic objectives of destroying Iran’s ballistic missile program, its Navy, and its ability to fund terrorist proxies in the region.
Iran backing down on threatening the Strait of Hormuz will allow that to happen in a timely fashion.
