President Trump named Kash Patel as FBI Director to hold the Deep State accountable.
The swamp didn’t take that lying down.
And the deep state wants Kash Patel fired before he finishes exposing them. It may be working.
As Swamp Digest reports:
Kash Patel’s been receiving criticisms from both sides.
Trump supporters were furious when Patel claimed Jeffrey Epstein killed himself and signed off on the idea that there was no Epstein client list and no Epstein co-conspirators should face criminal charges.
Patel also took on slings and arrows over the lack of criminal prosecutions for the Russia collusion hoaxers and Democrats who rigged the 2020 election.
And Patel also faced barbs for not restoring the employment status of the whistleblowers who exposed how the Biden administration manipulated January 6 to wage lawfare on Trump supporters.
The left also targeted Patel as The Atlantic published a hit piece accusing Patel of being a drunk.
“Several officials told me that Patel’s drinking has been a recurring source of concern across the government. They said that he is known to drink to the point of obvious intoxication, in many cases at the private club Ned’s in Washington, D.C., while in the presence of White House and other administration staff. He is also known to drink to excess at the Poodle Room in Las Vegas, where he frequently spends parts of his weekends. Early in his tenure, meetings and briefings had to be rescheduled for later in the day as a result of his alcohol-fueled nights, six current and former officials and others familiar with Patel’s schedule told me,” the Atlantic’s Sarah Fitzpatrick wrote.
Patel’s controversies reached critical mass as POLITICO reports that a Trump official informed reporter Dasha Burns that Trump plans to tell Patel, “you’re fired,” imminently.
“It’s only a matter of time,” the official, who was granted anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter, said of the FBI director.
“There are several reasons, the official said, but top among them is the number of negative stories centered on the FBI director, which is not a good look for a Cabinet secretary, and Trump is fed up with the level of distraction,” POLITICO reported.
For now, the Trump administration is standing by Patel.
“Under President Trump and Director Patel’s leadership at the FBI, crime across the country has plummeted to the lowest level in more than 100 years, and many high-profile criminals have been put behind bars. Director Patel remains a critical player on the Administration’s law and order team,“ Karoline Leavitt read.
And it didn’t go unnoticed that the Atlantic’s hatchet job on Patel dropped right before Patel announced criminal charges against the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center for secretly funding the same right-wing groups it labeled terror organizations.
Patel’s job status has been the subject of the Washington rumor mill since the moment the Senate confirmed him as FBI Director.
And it will remain that way until President Trump delivers his definitive answer.
