Fox News host Greg Gutfeld thought he knew everything about Donald Trump.
But Gutfeld quickly learned never to assume.
And Greg Gutfeld came to one realization about Donald Trump that blew his mind.
Donald Trump’s controversial plan for the United States to buy the Gaza Strip and rebuild it into the “Riveria of the Middle East” led even some of his staunchest of allies to question the idea.
Senators Josh Hawley and Rand Paul opposed spending one cent on nation building in the Middle East.
Even warmongers like RINO South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham rejected the idea of deploying U.S. troops to Gaza to secure a rebuild.
Greg Gutfeld explained that his status as a new father led him to understand what Trump was trying to accomplish.
Gutfeld argued that Gaza has represented an intractable mess on the world stage for decades and successive administrations and foreign leaders have all failed to come to an acceptable solution.
Gutfeld argued that Trump threw out a universally unacceptable plan that would force regional actors to put aside their differences and come up with an acceptable solution.
“Being a new father I can say this is purely a dad move. Huge fight with your sister over the remote, your dad comes down, and he turns off the TV and just takes the remote. ‘No Gutfeld!’ That creates a common enemy—Dad,” Gutfeld stated.
The Arab world was even more livid with the idea and the heads of state in Egypt and Jordan immediately denounced the proposal.
Gutfeld contended that was a good thing.
“So the quarrel is over. Now you’ve got to deal with dad and it forces the siblings to come up with a creative alternative and suddenly all of these Middle East countries, Jordan and Egypt, those are the kids, have to go, well, I don’t want dad involved,” Gutfeld continued.
“Well, maybe you have to start thinking about paying for the rebuilding or monitoring the peace or taking in some of the refugees. It causes the kids involved to go, woo, not so fast, we didn’t really want this,” Gutfeld added.
And there was evidence of Gutfeld’s theory in action as the leaders of Egypt and Jordan quickly announced they would come up with a plan to rebuild Gaza.
“Egypt was looking with other Arab nations at how to rebuild and clean up Gaza after Israel’s military campaign decimated the strip in response to Palestinian militant group Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, cross-border attack on Israel,” Reuters reported.
Gutfeld said the last thing Middle Eastern nations want is the United States inserting itself into regional affairs, so now they’re motivated to come up with a plan of action that would be acceptable.
“They don’t want America in the middle of everything. But exactly what you said. He said you are not doing anything about it and you are right, the way he described it, the fact that he is creating a new conversation,” Gutfeld stated.
Gutfeld said Trump realized that the traditional approach to dealing with Gaza and the Middle East led to a dead-end every time.
Trump realized it was time to think outside the box.
“He forces, he kind of forces the world to conform and react to him. This is why he is not a president, he is now officially a legend, and a legend create a story around yourself and world leaders, they want to see him, they want selfies with him, they want to please him, it is a phenomenon that is not about shaking the box, he throws the box into traffic. He may make more progress simply by doing this then has been done in ages,” Gutfeld declared.
