Joy Behar’s Comments Risk Elon Musk-Backed Lawsuit

Members of the media are unhinged in their hatred of all things Donald Trump.

But there are legal lines you can’t cross.

And Joy Behar got The View in big trouble with what she just said about Elon Musk.

Liberals still think they can get away with saying anything they want about Trump supporters.

But if anyone should know that is no longer the case, it’s the ladies of The View.

Co-host Sunny Hostin had to read four legal notices during one show to avoid multiple defamation lawsuits after producers reportedly stepped in and warned the ladies of The View to dial back their attacks on Trump and his allies.

But that was four months ago and in the wake of the election.

Enough time has passed now for The View to revert back to their default status of hurling deranged attacks on Trump and his allies at all times.

Elon Musk, particularly, is public enemy number one right now because of his work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

DOGE is sifting through the federal budget and uncovering billions of dollars in wasteful and fraudulent payments where Democrats laundered taxpayer money through NGOs to carry out political work on their behalf – something that would have otherwise been illegal for the government to engage in.

Democrats and the media smeared Musk as a Nazi for months.

But The View co-host Joy Behar veered into pure defamation territory when she attacked Musk as being a supporter of the South African apartheid government.

“The guy was not born in this country, who was born under apartheid in South Africa,” Behar said, referencing the fact Musk was born in South Africa in 1971.

“So, [he] has that mentality going on. He was pro-Apartheid, as I understand it,” Behar added.

Behar then ranted about how Musk was a “foreign agent” and “an enemy of the state.”

ABC’s legal team must have gotten in Behar’s ear because the back-peddling was almost immediate.

“Now I’m getting some flack because I said that Musk was pro-apartheid. I don’t really know for sure if he was,” Behar stated.

Now, this comment alone could land Behar in hot water because, by admitting she didn’t know that what she said was actually false, it very well could meet the standard for actual malice – a critical threshold in any defamation suit brought by a public figure.

But then, digging her hole even deeper, Behar went on to try and claim she was maybe right to accuse Musk as being a supporter of apartheid simply because of when and where he was born.

“He grew up at that time when apartheid was in full bloom, before the great Nelson Mandela fixed that. He was around at that time, but maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t — he might have been a young guy, too,” Behar continued.

That’s when Behar jokingly begged Musk not to sue him.

“So, don’t be suing me, okay Elon?” Behar exclaimed. “They’re allowed to say any lie they want but we have to be really strict.”

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk brought the clip to Musk’s attention and floated the idea of a lawsuit.

“Maybe it is time to sue,” Musk impishly replied.
