James Comer’s investigation into the Epstein files had one natural conclusion.
Democrats hoped to avoid this outcome.
And Bill Clinton is going to regret daring James Comer to make this bold move.
As Great American Digest reports:
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is leading a Congressional inquiry into the Epstein files.
Comer subpoenaed Bill and Hilary Clinton to testify to finally put them on the record about their relationship with the deceased pedophile.
Bill Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane over 20 times.
Epstein visited the Clinton White House on at least 17 occasions between 1993 and 1995.
Clinton Global Initiative founder Doug Band and Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre both claimed Bill Clinton visited Epstein’s island.
Americans demanded answers, but the Clintons refused to provide them.
Both Bill and Hillary Clinton skipped their scheduled deposition.
Comer warned that if they refused to appear for their latest hearing, then the Oversight Committee would initiate contempt of Congress proceedings.
“The Clintons have not confirmed their appearances for their subpoenaed depositions,” an Oversight Committee spokesman’s statement to the New York Post read. “They are obligated under the law to appear, and we expect them to do so. If the Clintons do not appear for their depositions, the House Oversight Committee will initiate contempt of Congress proceedings.”
This would allow the House to authorize the sergeant at arms to take the Clintons into custody and bring them before Congress.
In a joint letter published on social media, the Clintons declared they would again defy Comer’s subpoena.
“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles, and its people, no matter the consequences. For us, now is that time,” Bill and Hillary wrote.
The Clintons played the liberal hit list, casting themselves as victims of the Trump administration alongside other deep state operatives facing criminal prosecution and illegal aliens set for deportation.
Comer called the Clintons’ bluff and announced that the committee would proceed to hold Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress.
“As a result of Bill Clinton not showing up for his lawful subpoena…we will move next week in the House Oversight Committee markup to hold former President Clinton in contempt of Congress,” Comer told reporters.
If anything, the Clintons are getting off easy, as Conmer intends to use contempt of Congress simply to compel testimony.
The Joe Biden Department of Justice jailed Trump advisors Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro on contempt of Congress charges after they refused to appear before the January 6 Committee after Donald Trump invoked executive privilege.
