Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was fed up with the fake news media.
Hegseth had a message to deliver.
And Pete Hegseth looked the media in the eye and went ballistic with this accusation.
As American Media Watch Dog reports:
The War in Iran is now in its third week.
The U.S. military killed over 50 Iranian leaders, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Minister of Intelligence Esmaeil Khatib, and top security official Ali Larijani, who was widely believed to be the country’s de facto ruler following Khamenei’s death.
America’s armed forces also obliterated Iran’s Navy, sinking over 100 ships and degrading more than 90 percent of Iran’s ballistic missile and one-way drone attack capabilities.
And yet the liberal media bombards Americans daily with coverage that suggests the war is a failure and Trump drove America into a quagmire.
During a press conference to deliver an update on the Iran War.
Hegseth laced into the media for their Trump Derangement Syndrome, driving them to root for American defeat.
“Yes, there are reporters in front of me, but they are not my audience today. I stand here today speaking to you, the American people, not through filters, not through reporters, not through cable news spin,” Hegseth declared. “A dishonest and anti-Trump press will stop at nothing, we know this at this point, to downplay progress, amplify every cost, and call into question every step. Sadly, TDS is in their DNA.”
Hegseth said the media’s hatred of Trump outweighed any love of his country, which is why his audience for this press conference was the American people.
“Sadly, TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome] is in their DNA. They want President Trump to fail. But you, the American people, know better. Yes, there are reporters in front of me, but they are not our audience today; it is you, the good, decent, patriotic American people. You, the hard-working, taxpaying, God-fearing American patriots,” Hegseth continued.
Hegseths stressed that President Trump would avoid the mistakes of past U.S. Presidents that dragged America into endless wars in the Middle East and that the press was lying to try to fool Americans into thinking a 19-day-old war with Iran was well on the way to another two-decade-long American military intervention.
“The media, not all of it, much of it, want you to think just 19 days into this conflict that we’re somehow spinning toward an endless abyss or a forever war or a quagmire. Nothing could be further from the truth. Hear it from me, one of hundreds of thousands who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, who watched previous foolish politicians like George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden squander American credibility,” Hegseth went on to say.
Hegseth finished by appealing to those patriotic members of the media to avoid the doom and gloom and to report the truth, that America was winning this war.
“To the patriotic members of the press, nobody can deliver perfection in wartime,” Hegeth concluded. “This building knows that more than anyone, but reports the reality. We’re winning decisively and on our terms.”
