President Trump posted multiple times on Truth Social that the United States Senate must pass the SAVE Act, the centerpiece of his agenda to ensure fair elections in America.
“The Republicans MUST DO, with PASSION, and at the expense of everything else, THE SAVE AMERICA ACT – And not the watered down version,” Trump wrote.
“The United States Senate should focus on, exclusively if necessary, THE SAVE AMERICA ACT!!! It’s what everyone wants!!!” Trump added.
The SAVE Act contains provisions that mandate proof of citizenship to register to vote, require all 50 states to implement voter ID, and ban mass mail voting.
The House of Representatives passed the bill.
But it’s stalled in the Senate.
And the culprit just got called out.
Elon Musk-endorsed Kentucky Senate candidate Nate Morris told Breitbart that retiring Kentucky RINO Senator Mitch McConnell exploited his position as Chairman of the powerful Senate rules committee to block the SAVE Act behind the scenes.
“We have somebody in Mitch McConnell who is making it his last effort to do everything he can to oppose the president,” Morris stated.
Morris revealed McConnell’s hatred of Trump. McConnell hoped to see Joe Biden jail Trump after January 6, which led McConnell to block a bill that would end election fraud.
His opposition is nothing more than jealousy and pettiness. This is all about taking one more shot at the president on his way out,” he continued.
McConnell is also opposing changing the filibuster to allow Republicans to pass the SAVE Act with a simple majority vote, something Morris said he supports.
“Our campaign has been so clear about this. We’re the only candidate in this race that said we must nuke the zombie filibuster, we got to get rid of it,” Morris added.
Morris isn’t the only one calling out McConnell’s opposition to the SAVE Act.
Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett said it may be McConnell’s handlers running the show to oppose the SAVE Act because McConnell reached Joe Biden’s level of mental enfeeblement.
“He’s blocking the SAVE Act, or is he? Is it him or a staff member, because as you know, he’s a lot like Joe Biden was in his last few days in office, or last year’s in office,” Burchett stated. “His cognizant level is diminishing daily.”
McConnell’s physical state did nothing to dispute that claim.
Federalist co-founder and CEO Sean Davis agreed with Morris that pettiness was at the root of McConnell blocking the SAVE Act.
Davis wrote that McConnell and his allies don’t care about stopping election fraud because they want the Democrats to win in 2026 and 2028 to purge Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and the MAGA movement from the GOP so McConnell can lead a restoration of the Bush/Romney/Cheney-style establishment.
“McConnell wants Trump, Vance, and MAGA to lose in 2026 and 2028, so McConnell and his corporatist friends can take back control of the GOP and use it to make money for themselves and their friends,” Davis wrote on X.
