Louisiana Senator John Kennedy wants everyone to think he is President Trump’s staunchest ally.
But Kennedy faced a moment where he needed to make a choice.
And John Kennedy flipped on President Trump at the worst time ever.
As American Media WatchDog reports:
President Trump has made it clear since day one of his second term that he intends to acquire Greenland.
Trump explained that Greenland’s location makes it vital to U.S. economic and military interests.
Greenland sits on key Arctic shipping lanes.
And the U.S. military bases on the Island are critical to missile defense.
China and Russia also seek to dominate Greenland, and whoever controls Greenland will control the Arctic.
Whoever controls the Arctic will gain a leg up in controlling the world economy.
Trump is open to buying Greenland.
But Trump also left the military option on the table and even mocked how easy it would be to seize the Island.
“They added one more dog sled,” Trump joked when telling reporters about how Greenland upped its security posture.
Greenland is part of Denmark.
Denmark, as well as multiple European nations, including France, Spain, Germany, and others, issued a statement warning the U.S. that taking Greenland would spell the end of NATO.
Senate RINOs sided with the globalists and against President Trump in this dispute.
Senator Kennedy told CNN that a military operation against Greenland would be “weapons-grade stupid.”
“We had a classified briefing today on both Greenland and Venezuela, and it’s one of the best briefings I’ve attended, and I’ve attended a lot of them,” Kennedy began.
Let me give you my perspective. Even a modestly intelligent ninth grader knows that to invade Greenland would be weapons-grade stupid. Now, President Trump is not weapons-grade stupid, nor is Marco Rubio,” Kennedy added.
Kennedy also ruled out Trump buying Greenland.
“They do not plan to invade Greenland. That doesn’t mean they’re not going to seek a legal, formal partnership with Greenland as to their and our national defense. That doesn’t mean – I’m not saying they will or won’t – the president’s not gonna try to buy Greenland. There are 41,000 people, electors, eligible to vote in Greenland,” Kennedy continued.
Kennedy claimed the only way he would accept Greenland joining the United States’ fold is if the people voted for it.
“If everybody votes, 20,501 Greenlanders can vote to join America. I’m not saying that will or won’t happen, but I think that’s really what the president is up to,” Kennedy concluded.
Other Senate RINOs issued more forceful denunciations.
“This is a topic that should be dropped,” said Senate Armed Services Chair Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), ranting.
“Threats and intimidation by U.S. officials over American ownership of Greenland are as unseemly as they are counterproductive,” RINO Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell ranted. “And the use of force to seize the sovereign democratic territory of one of America’s most loyal and capable allies would be an especially catastrophic act of strategic self-harm to America and its global influence.”
But this issue isn’t going away.
The Daily Mail reported that President Trump instructed deputy White House chief of staff Stephen Miller to have the military draw up plans for a special forces raid of Denmark.
