A whistleblower from within the IRS set off a political earthquake in Washington by coming forward with information that Biden’s Department of Justice slow-walked a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden.
The whistleblower said officials removed him and his team from the investigation after raising concerns about political interference in the Hunter Biden probe.
Investigators were examining Hunter Biden on charges of money laundering, tax fraud and false statements.
But despite the fact that the investigation dragged on for years and FBI agents reportedly believed they had enough evidence to charge Hunter Biden, the Department of Justice refused to indict Hunter Biden.
The alarming behavior by the Biden Department of Justice caused 14-year IRS veteran Gary Shapley to come forward and reveal himself as the whistleblower.
In an interview with CBS News chief investigative correspondent Jim Axelrod, Shapley explained what motivated him to go public with his accusations.
Shapley said from the moment he took over he noticed suspicious happenings all designed to protect Hunter Biden.
“There were multiple steps that were slow-walked – were just completely not done – at the direction of the Department of Justice,” Shapley began. “When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw deviations from the normal process. It was way outside the norm of what I’ve experienced in the past.”
Shapley said as a career official he never imagined politics would infect the Department of Justice to the degree that it did during his time on the Hunter Biden investigation.
“For a couple years, we’d been noticing these deviations in the investigative process. And I just couldn’t, you know, fathom that DOJ might be acting unethically on this,” Shapley continued.
“Each and every time, it seemed to always benefit the subject,” Shapley added. “It just got to that point where that switch was turned on. And I just couldn’t silence my conscience anymore.”
Shapley debunked any suggestion he was motivated by politics saying he was “not involved with any of that stuff,” adding, “It’s not what I want to do. I’m just simply not a political person. This is a job, and my oath of office is to treat everybody fairly that we investigate.”
The IRS covering up for Hunter Biden is not the first time Joe Biden weaponized a federal agency to protect him and his family.

Corporate media activists baselessly claim this is a conspiracy theory.
But Shapley’s allegations put meat on the bones of this case and make any fair-minded American realize something fishy is going on.
