Democrats do not want to see Donald Trump back in the White House under any circumstances.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on CNN and the topic of Trump and the next election came up.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a shocking prediction about Donald Trump in 2024.
Ocasio-Cortez went on CNN to defend her close ally and anti-Semitic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
Republicans kicked Omar off the Foreign Affairs Committee for her past bigoted comments about Jews and Israel.
Ocasio-Cortez could not help herself but make comments about Republicans booting Omar from a committee assignment because she is an anti-Semite.
In her comments to CNN Ocasio-Cortez claimed McCarthy only removed Omar to win the approval of Donald Trump and the MAGA base.
“I think Speaker McCarthy gets a fundraising boom. I think he gets potentially currying favor with either Trump and his base, saying I delivered on these promises. I’m a good soldier to the Trumpian political base. I am really letting the world know that the House Republican Party is now being fully transformed,” Ocasio-Cortez ranted.
Ocasio-Cortez then baselessly asserted that this proved Trump controls the GOP and that Trump was behind Omar’s removal.
“We are cementing the transformation. Even with Donald Trump being gone, they’re cementing the transformation of the Republican Party into a Trumpian party. One that settles petty political scores that is no longer motivated by a classic quote, unquote ‘conservative politics of reducing a tax base’ et cetera, but this is truly about service to their benefactors,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez and her allies love this line about how the Trump GOP has no principles and they pine for the days of the Paul Ryan/Mitt Romney GOP that supposedly gallantly fought for limited government.
Of course Democrats ran ads saying Paul Ryan wanted to murder Americans’ grandmothers because he proposed a smaller increase in spending than Barack Obama.
Trump put forth an America First agenda of secure borders, unleashing American energy, renegotiating bad trade deals that gutted the working class, and stopping endless foreign wars abroad.
Host John Berman asked Ocasio-Cortez about Trump’s prospects in 2024.
Ocasio-Cortez predicted that Trump would either be the nominee or destroy whoever won the nomination.
“I mean, we may see. He will either be the nominee, or he will burn down anyone who isn’t him who is the nominee,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
That is certainly Ocasio-Cortez and the Democrat Party’s dream scenario.
Ocasio-Cortez knows Joe Biden is unpopular and the economy may still sink into a recession.
The Federal Reserve is likely to continue to raise interest rates to slow down Joe Biden’s inflation which in turn chokes off economic growth.
And the Democrats’ best chance for victory in 2024 may be to sow chaos in the Republican primary.
